That’s because Ant likes him and treats him well when it matters. Friends dunk on each other. Opie is like someone shitting on you when you just met them.
Here's some E-rock fan fiction that makes sense: "During the late stages of the Cold War, the CIA created a black ops project using the simple minded children of Florida. Project NAGELSEED was created. A few embryos survived the mutation. The traits implanted had a love for Italian and Germanic food, namely large sandwiches. The effort posied them as an Intel gathering unit, emphasis on the prior aspect as "cusine experts." The project was an ultimately an embrassment on the US intelligence community. These "things" were described as only having a need for sandwiches and had no other use. Mindless beasts. One remains and was used in domestic counter intelligence due it's vagueness and sheer size.
Erock was even vague while describing what Opie did to him at Westwood One, when he was a guest on WATP to review "The Todd Show" It's satisfying as hell but it would have been so much better if he didn't force us all to fill in the blanks to protect stupid insecure Opie
The Opster is reading these obviously pretty friendly texts between Erock and himself but changing the context to seem like his responses were sent with irritation.
C. Morgan I mean he did say the second “ what”was in capital letters with multiple question marks, and also that he said in capital letters “what the fuck is going on” and that would be a blatant sign of irritation... Yeah Opie is annoying, but this just seems like a reach to bash him. That exchange genuinely sounds frustrating, and I really don’t think you would be saying this if it was Anthony or Jim reading the exact same texts in the exact same context.
Honestly, Opie was in the position to share a story and provide legitimately amusing contributions to the show, because Erock really did string him along. And then... 8:51 Opie just... 12:56 ruins everything. He's hopeless.
