+varun jaitly Exactly.I think Opie wanted to be good friends with Anthony but Ant just wanted to keep things professional. I believe that drove Opie crazy. To the point where he didn't want Anthony around. I have no inside info, I base this all on a feeling I get from listening to them over the years. It would be great if they got back together but I don't see that ever happening.

Derrick Lang Ant's attack was really light but if you take a second to look at other clips it seems like Opie has problems with a lot of people. Opie even complains about it on air. There has to be a reason why so many people do not like him especially people who used to work with him. Check out the Jimmy vs Opie fight. He repeatedly states that he didn't put Jimmy in the middle then insist that he needed Jimmy to speak up for him, which is putting him in the middle. Opie has some mental problems and the more you listen the more they stand out. I honesty never liked Opie. I don't think he is funny, witty, clever or interesting. However, I did enjoy the show when it was all three of them together.

The Real News Online Who are "D n A?" Assuming you mean D&C, it seems unlikely that they'll replace their highest-rated hosts. If they didn't think Mut could cut it in the mid-day, there's no way in hell they're giving him morning-drive. Use a little logic here.

Wow, you got literally EVERY fact wrong in your comment! Congrats, I've never seen such ineptitude delivered so concisely. Look up the most recent ratings book (September). D&C finished 2nd, Toucher and Rich finished 3rd. You can't just make shit up, man, it's too easy to prove you wrong. Also, D&C were EASILY the highest-rated show on WEEI. They had an 8.3, the mid-day show did a 4.4, and your boy Dale Arnold scored a 5.6. You're not even close. Do a little research, dummy.

I was just listening to a clip last night where Opie was playing it to mock something stupid that was done/said, as if to say "well DUH", so there was alot of emphasis being put on DUH huh huh huh, DUH huh huh. It was terrible and very obviously pissing off Ant. While Opie kept repeating "DUH" Anthony clearly and loud enough for everyone to hear says something like "Holy shit SHUT UP. That song fucking SUCKS". I have no idea what it's from, but yeah it's fucking terrible.

It's satisfying to listen to this piece recorded in 2008 knowing that later on Toucher and Rich would be destroying D&C in the ratings for years and years, and WEEI is crumbling at the seams, being flushed down the toilet by 98.5 The Sports Hub which is thriving stronger than imaginable.

Ryan “ruttillo” Russillo is now a huge personality and respected throughout the industry first at ESPN now at the ringer and writing movie and tv scripts. John Dennis was kicked off his own show, forced into retirement and funny enough known for his racist and drunken antics more than his shit radio career.
