You know what really made this show work.... Anthonys willingness to back up Opie at every turn. He repeats unfunny jokes. He supports Opie with his cringe comments and does it in a way that makes Opie even seem a little funny. Because Anthonys laugh is so infectious. What a pro and he wasnt even doing it since 18

Opie knew 100% and the way he kept insisting “Norton had no clue” means Anthony probably knew as well. I can see keeping it a secret just to see Jim’s reaction, but then just admit it was planned, it doesn’t take anything away from it. Nobody thinks Whoopie just walked into the radio station unannounced.
Whoopie's good friend Howie actually employs people to regularly abuse cable access shows. It's funny as fuck, and probably the only good part of HooHoo's show, but don't pretend for a second that he is above these shenanigans.
Sal and Richard faked a ton of the calls too. They’d get hung up on before they could make their punchline and they’d just edit the jokes into the sound clips that Howard would play on the air.

Almost as brilliant as when he throws out a lame line and then repeats it five times, often yelling over someone else in the room who actually has something to say that won’t induce cringe. God he sucks. I used to listen to them after school in NY in wnew and even then my cousin and I hated him. We were so happy to learn how much everyone else hated him once youtube and social media hit the scene

She did it, she just refused to actually do it. It’s a much more boring society to take the story and lecture people about how everyone makes mistakes. If you don’t want to do the story, do something else that’s even mildly interesting.

You've probably seen it since your comment is four years old but before joctober they had a bit called Morning Zoo Bitz. Scott and Todd were featured on it along with other random shit shows. I personally thought morning zoo bitz sucked tremendously compared to joctober but its a good thing it exists and is out there. Anyway, there's a comp video of morning zoo bitz on youtube. I think its only 2 or 3 hours long. Plus there's plenty of fun videos you'll find if you type in "opie and Anthony vs"

Were they really surprised when Whoopi walked in? When a caller asked why they put Patrice in the corner and left an empty chair, they quickly hung up on her. E-Lo came in with her which isn't something that an executive would do on the spur of the moment. I understand they wanted the audience to be surprised, but why lie and say you didn't know she was coming? She would have had to go through security, etc. Still and all a great appearance.

You gotta give Whoopi credit...nobody else that O&A “declared war” on really ever confronted them over it. Don & Mike sorta tried, Carol Miller almost got there, but Whoopi took the wind out of their sails.
Yeah. People just aren't allowed to make jokes on air. About him and what he says. So noone ever remembers any of the things he said. Because there aren't 25 minute segments laughing about Opies racial statements. That and everything Opie says is just easy stereotypes. So people dismiss them as just simple jokes I'm sure. Anthony's jokes are usually creative. So people probably take them as things he has thought about off the air. I guess it's the first of being talented. People hear Opies shit and think, Hey, I've thought of a joke like that before. They hear Anthony's jokes and they are better than anything you have ever come up with before. So there natural reaction is only. Yikes, of he thinks of that. He must be racist. Nope.... He's just talented.
It’s so true and Patrice even called him out about that in one episode.. I wish he was still alive when Ant was fired to set him straight again, as Opie went on and on, nailing Ant to the cross saying that “he got himself fired for his constant racism and racist comments..” That was complete nonsense and typical of the bitch Opie..
People may rip on Opie, but he knows the radio business better than just about anyone out there... he's the reason Ant, Jimmy & Co. get to bring us their funny everyday.

Opie wouldn't be making millions of dollars a year if he didn't have Ant and their show would end if Ant decided to leave. Ant would of made it to the top regardless of who discovered him because if he so talented and brilliant. Opie just got lucky that he was the one that did
