Sirius were the ones making them take calls and cos Ant wouldn't tow the line it put spuds in a spot where he would have to begrudgingly take calls with a smile to keep the higher ups off their ass. They mention this in multiple shows. Opie sucks but ya gotta feel for the shitdick dealing with two partners that are contrary and scared to deal with higher ups like kids that are too scared to see their parents when they are in trouble. Jim and Ant treated spuds like he was being a boss when it was them shitdicks that skirted any responsibly involved with the show putting him a position where he had to step up to the plate. Once Ant started leaning towards compound spuds knew OnA days were numbered, that's why he didn't back Ant when he was fired, Ant was already steering towards compound for a few years while at sirius.

I realized I was a rube. I'm disgusted that I found any of these shows funny. I will give credit that Seinfeld still holds up.
That's not really true. Laugh track shows are just a style, it started with shows that were done in front of a live audience. You can't say Seinfeld was awful.

ironically even if you do not like Whitney Cummings she is a super-duper-mega talent compared to Opie "let's go to the phones" Hughes... i actually liked her comedy central special from 2014 and she can be good on podcasts with the right guest but the "Whitney" tv show was pure poop as in it stunk... fax!!!
