Outta the 2 decks, gecko is def the tougher one. Saka usually is a breeze, depending on if you make misplays. But you have to see hody in the matchup :) But it’s almost op07, no more saka and great eruption
Welcome in team! Today we take an off meta variant of Soul pocus Yamato to regionals. I feel I shoulda kept my original Soul pocus list, but I tweaked this one a lil bit before submitting my list and I feel it didnt do what I wanted. I miss my sanjis, bricking w/ momo / big mom at times really just killed my day. But someone ended up taking my list to an event in Germany, exact ratios, and topping. So atleast that helped lift the spirits, Congrats to you! Anyways we went with this off meta variant, I told you guys I "expect nothing" it was def alot of fun and I cant wait for the next event. This year I will be going to as many as I can without traveling cross country... -_- for a Bo1. I'm sorry I wasnt able to bring a big camera set up, so my phone could only get what it could. I was at the event from 8ish am - around 6pm. It was awesome meeting a bunch of people, seeing familiar faces and meeting other content creators! Hope to be able to do this again :) I definitely forgot to spend my don for momo during my kata match, but I gave up on that turn. I was cooked. lol

I tried ur build at my locals, went 4-1 ended up losing the final round to enel, but I think thats just a though match-up. Was wondering why cracker in this video, but the sanjis did saved me in my matches triggering 3 of them lol
Yeaaah enel sucks to play against, its almost an auto lose. And crackers here have no rhythm or reason, I think I shoulda taken my orginal soul pocus build!
I noticed how you talked with each player afterwards about what y’all could have done different and I imagine that is so helpful not only for you understanding your own deck, but also understanding other decks! Have you seen it help you doing that consistently? I never thought about doing that myself but definitely will going forward!
Yes actually, I do this just about every single game, here & locals. Sim, ppl kinda just "k bye" ya know? But I feel it helps see each perspective, even if you win / lose. Always something in which I, or the opp could have played differently. Sometimes those small things make huge changes

A very well played matches and a well enjoyed video to watch but I was confused in one of your matches the very first one can you assign rested don to characters? I thought that was not allowed and only specified effects can do that? Sorry I was just confused on that part, but still great games
Thank you, it was a lot of fun taking an off meta build to the event :) Yamato’s leader effect allows you to take 2 rested don, and attach it to a character. If your opponents life is at 3 or less.
Yeah it was awesome to have in mtg and pokemon. I think maybe One piece maybe to new to try it. This is also my first tcg w/o "cant use sideboard" so I feel alot of people would like to try it.
I try to stay at 3 life and above for as long as I can, till I’m ready to attempt to go for game. Most of the time it works, but mainly I want to stay healthy before hody. Kata, Enel, are still your toughest matchups!

at 44:37 would it be better to swing 5k with Yamato and than swing 11k with Hody giving Hody the Amaru +3k. This would require 5 cards to counter out of where the 2x 8k hits only require 4 cards to counter out of. Let me know your thougths on that.

Katakuri & Enel will be your worst matchups. Enel is almost an auto lose. Katakuri usually depends on triggers. And if you can get them down to 1-2 life prior to 7don and 10d turn for the big moms. Highly advise to try mulligan for Onami.
It’s a tripod camera that sits between my legs as I play, attached is my phone. I couldn’t use like a big camera setup, and put it in the isle. But this worked flawlessly, downside, phone can only hold so many Gigabytes.
No, I didn’t, I didn’t see a single Yamato matchup. Kata helps vs 8c kid, but in Yamato decks if you’re not using it for healing yourself or removing kid, it’s a dead card.
