The intimate scenes between Oppenheimer and Jean Tatlock was a deliberate mischief by Nolan. It is a known history they both had a close relationship and affair for few years. But there's no documentary or verbal evidence of Oppenheimer revealing he had discussed about 'Bhagavath Geetha' with Jean while having sex !!! Even for the record, in the initial scenes, it is shown in the lab he poisons a fruit and keeps on the table of his lab instructor whom he used to hate. But in reality he does the same but goes out of town and it so happened that fruit doesn't get eaten by his lab instructor and Oppenheimer cries, regrets for his act for many days and also shares to his close friend. So all said Nolan's intention behind film was more to grab eyeballs towards make believe incidents and more honest portrayal were the scenes between Strauss, Oppenheimer, Albert Einstein and the investigations.

the name of the movie is Oppenheimer not the atom bomb.people need to understand that. i would really recommend reading american Prometheus its a fantastic piece of literature, it will give you far more context about the movie. One should not be blind to the extent that we ignore insult to Hinduism. Movie’s can be about anything but not about demeaning our scriptures. And secular Hindus who see nothing wrong in obviously wrong things are a big problem to India. Nolan maybe excellent in his work but that doesn’t give him the liberty he has taken. Let him take that liberty with other religions in his next movie. Hindus stand united against people who take liberties with our religion and stop trying to intellectual and so on. This is something which we need to learn from other religions no doubt about it. Come what may right or wrong they stand united.

I found it pretty funny and a little annoying that Pratik tried to fit in to the usual popular narrative on this right-wing channel and forcefully pulls out a narrative - Oppie trying to put his guilt on our scripture - out of nowhere. I do not agree to this narrative and I wish Pratik finds the courage here onwards to remain authentic with his views regardless of the setting he finds himself in. I associate myself with right-wing and often agree with much of the content on this channel but many times, I do not agree with Sanjay Ji's perspective as well. Also, what do you mean by "victim"? The movie was made to show you what happened from the point of view of Oppenheimer; which is what it did. The fact that you are trying to judge a movie with a lens of pure idealism and political correctness frankly testifies against your maturity as a movie critic. The movie was not about the impact of atom bomb on Japanese citizens and hence it only hints at the aftermath. Come on !

Sir, Namaste 🙏 Frankly, I went to see Oppenheimer, because there was such a hype created on RU-vid about Bhagwad Geeta being a driving force for this inventor etc 🤦😬 I did not expect anything and was not disappointed. It was an intense movie, very badly scripted, the direction was amateurish, and mention of Geeta verse in Sanskrit during a sex scene was an 'eek' moment. I really can't think of getting into sex with someone, and getting into religious text or a foreign language interest to know, in mind!! Unless of course the director is certain that as in an ultra orthodox Islamic version of having sex solicits recital of kalma etc and these two cultures, Hindu and Muslim, are similar - so it's okay to show in the film. Very disappointed with the movie, otherwise it should have been a very gripping story. Robert Oppenheimer was initiated to learn Sanskrit by his mentor Dr. Strauss, who betrayed him in the end
