I don't want to spend more than $300 on a phone. I think the price of iPhones and the like is outrageous. I bought an A73 a few weeks ago, and I think it's the best phone I have ever had. I have no issues with it. I keep discovering new things about it every day! I got an unlocked one on sale at JB Hifi, so I didn't even pay near $300, which made me even happier!
I got this phone and it is awesome for the price, the camera is amazing. I can't really fault it at all, the finger print sensor and face recognition is lightning fast, heaps of additional storage. I've been using it for almost 2 years, dropped it many times and no breaks (cough iphone)... the screen has been active for literally thousands and thousands of hours with no issues.
It's a great phone, but don't get your hopes up, I know several people, including my friend and I, that all got this phone about the same time. Then, two years later, they started breaking down. lagged really bad, shut down randomly, the keyboard completely stopped working in any useful way, putting heaps of letters when you only clicked once, it was glitchy as fuck. It's a good phone for the money, but it won't last very long if that's what you're after
Was thrilled that I managed to get this phone near perfect off marketplace for $120 AUD, unfortunately it was stolen :/ absolutely recommend it regardless to anyone considering. I’m an Oppo convert
Got this phone yesterday for $220 and all I can say it flash and looks like kinda like a iPhone but not and very easy to use big screen camera is great and oppo are smart by putting the phone case included with the phone 110 per cent happy customer here no complaints or problem
Soccer Blue the battery is user non replaceable, meaning you would either need a technician or a phone guy, or use hairdryer, suction cup and a metal and cardboard thin slicer to cut through the adhesive. Then disconnect the fingerprint sensor by removing it like s lego, you will find the
Hi Goran Svraka, I managed to get mine during one of eBay's sales, the promo code gae me a pretty significant discount. Also, mine is locked to the Optus network (which I use), so the phones are usually a bit cheaper that way as well.
I don't know what to buy now. I'm looking at the Opportunity A57, and this A73. This one is $50 more expensive but the reason I'm looking at it is cause I have big hands, and a 5.5" phone feels too small so this 6" may feel better. What one would you recomend?
Yeah you definitely can. I one I bought had all of the Google Apps pre-installed, which includes the Play Store, so you can download any and all apps you wish. I don't mean to be presumptuous, but your sister might be referring to the fact that Oppo has customised the Android interface (which is common, virtually all manufacturers put their spin on Android), which makes it behave a little differently. In some cases (particularly when you buy phones from overseas) Google Apps may not be pre-installed, however manually downloading them and installing them on a device isn't hard, it's just a bit inconvenient. Long story short, Oppo phones run on Android, so you'll be able to run Android apps.
Hi Raniela, no it does not have a screen recorder pre-installed. However there are third party screen recording apps that you can install from the Play Store. Cheers
Hi Timothy Reed, the A73 does not support quick charging, at least in my experience. I have read online that some users claim that it does, but I find this hard to believe. I rarely ever let a device's battery run flat, so I'm not 100% sure how long charging would take, however I would estimate that it takes about 3 hours. Be aware, however, that charging time depends heavily on the charger you're using. I hope this helps. Cheers.
GizmoJoe That’s really good to know. My Galaxy Note 3 finally died on me after one too many drops. I had spare batteries and always had one charging while using another in the phone so I would never be tethered to a power outlet. But with so few removable batteries these days I decided I would get a mid-range phone with fast charging. From what I can tell some overseas models of this phone have 4GB of RAM and fast charging. Thanks for the help!
Hi Leonardo DiCuckrio, sorry for that glaring omission! I'll try to remember to cover battery life in future videos. In my experience, moderate users will find the battery to be sufficient to get them through the day. If you are a heavy user who uses your phone constantly, you'll probably need to chuck it on the charger towards the end of the day.
Was thinking of getting this one because of the bigger screen and low cost as I use my iPad 12.9 for internet and games, but I want the bigger screen because my current phone is terrible when it comes to texting, it takes forever to write anything. However do you know if the phone is good regionally, I haven’t seen outside of the city logos in awhile, I’m wondering if that means that all phones do well no matter your location now? we live on a farm and we tend to go on holidays to country regions, so I need to know I can count on the phone to have a signal if anything goes wrong.
CocoonsLastHope, it depends on who you will be using as a carrier and whether or not the phone in question operates on the frequency bands that your provider uses. There are a few websites that can help you answer this question, such as...willmyphonework.net/ Good luck!
So that one only shows if you will get internet, which is not what I’m looking for, looking for the blue tick I had forgotten the name at the time. Some phones even without blue ticks have received better signals then phones with blue ticks, so it’s a mixed bag I guess. The phones that were better, were the most expensive ones though so I could see them making them better in every way so to fit into their price range. Since I can’t seem to make up my mind, I’ve simply decided to leave it for now and see if any newer phones show up as I’ve read that this phone is a little old now. Might have to go into Jb Hi Fi anyways at some point to see if on their board of phones the blue tick is present anywhere and to also see the sizes.
@@CocoonsLastHope That's probably the best course of action. I always thought Blue Tick phones were Telstra exclusive, but I could be wrong. Good luck with the search, sorry I couldn't be more help!
No problem and no Jb Hi Fi did have the blue tick years ago, it doesn’t appear they have it on the online shop, but maybe they might still have it instore. Usually it’ll say something like great for regional in a text bubble next to the phone, unfortunately only like 2 or 3 phones from Optus have that and none of them I’d use. Optus still currently has the best long life pre paid. Never had any issues with them either, in terms of getting a signal, I’d imagine that for internet they would be bad with their slowing down, which would put the internet at just double my home speed which isn’t very much. With Telstra I can find places with 220mb/s and download games or updates almost instantly. Which when your updating you kind of want to do it and get it out of the way so you can do other things.
@@CocoonsLastHope I agree with you 100 percent. Hopefully you can find something suitable to your needs. If you do, consider letting us know which phone you decided on and where you found it! Cheers!
I bought a black Oppo phone I like it for the simple things ike I can put 100s of songs on a tiny card and make any song my ringtone. The iPhone I had I couldn't do that you have to buy from iTunes
Mark Chapman I have more than 200 songs on my iPhone 6s plus and I didn’t even pay for it, I just downloaded it from my mac and transferred it to my iPhone
HammieTheTiger you can put any music, ring tones etc on an iPhone for free but you have to dick around in iTunes to do it. In android you can just save music from anywhere and away you go. I love the simplicity of Android, iPhone is too restrictive and it shits me. I currently have an iPhone...
Good phone. Not to be an Android snob but apple is overrated and overpriced. Never thought a phone with fingerprint scanner and facial recognition would be sold for under $300.
Hi csyd22, it's a mono speaker but it's fairly loud. In my experience it didn't suffer from distortion at higher volumes so it's not bad, but not great. Very middle of the road. I suspect most would find it to be sufficient. Cheers!
GizmoJoe no shit sherlock but its too late to make a claim, im not that triggered just hate it because i cannot root it. but still it gets the job done
Andrew he’s just trying to help mate if you don’t want to hear that don’t crap on about how you regret buying it. Also you don’t buy a fucking phone just to root it dumbass.
