All three of these camera phones did extremely well I thought. Oppo clearly dominated night photography though. I have been using my Samsung Galaxy S23 ultra for about 2 weeks now and have been discovering just how powerful the editing tools and raw camera app are on this phone. I was so impressed when I watched your video that you made about that dual battery fat tire bike, with the s23 ultra. I'm going to enjoy stumbling around with mine in my garden this summer that's for sure! Always enjoy your content ✌️
Yes that fat wheel Engwe M20 ebike was mostly filmed on the S23U only the GoPro stuff wasn't the S23U. Oppo realyl shined with the low light shots but the video quality was very disappointing.
if oppo improves on few areas like selfie cam, and few overexposure issues with daytime photos , along with their super fast charging tech, they can start to gain some serious market share. they are really making some interesting products
Obviously all 3 are GREAT! Without crazy side-by-side comparisons, everyone would be excited by the results of these 3. The Xiaomi audio and wind noise is the only real eye-opener in my opinion.
I have the Samsung because I take a lot of zoom shots. But I would say with your camera comparison, the best overall performance was the OPPO. On a side note, I wonder why the Hasselblad photos look so much better on the OPPO than they do on the Oneplus.
Yes for low light and most stills the OPPO. But video definitely the Samsung for it's EIS and audio also. As for Hasselblad it's down to optimisation they have worked harder on the X6 Pro i think.
I think it is mostly s23 ultra stepping down in all aspect except video stabilization. Compared to my S20+, S23 ultra actually take much blurry and nosier image most of the time also in this video the colour and lens flare looks worse compared to other phone.
The Samsung microphone sounds a lot better than the other 2. It's the better all rounder (considering video, front camera and audio capabilities) even though it doesn't always have the best shots. The Find X has great bokeh and really nice colours. Hope that comes to Samsung phones next year with a larger sensor!
Well... Samsung's main rear sensor is already larger than both phones in this video - yet it gives worse shots. So I don't think the "moar sensor" is the answer here. In fact, Samsung is having trouble taming its larger sensor under normal light circumstances (overexposed, overshapened shots), though it can give the S23U an edge on low light conditions.
@@levi4328 Samsung's main sensor is not larger than the other two. 1/1.3 inch vs 1 inch. With 1 inch sensor, Samsung can definitely beat those other two devices
I do prefer this test rack arrangement to the lab tests, because it is much closer to the real life conditions of the everyday users. I think the competition has never been tougher and to establish an overall winner is more a matter of personal taste. For instance it depends on the preference for either warmer or cooler image processing results. To get to a final personal selection, we must focus on which type of scenes are more important to each of us and then the challenge is to pick the cameraphone system that performs the best or the second best with the highest score. And if none of the contenders fit perfectly our needs, we should not miss to remind that there are many free or affordable apps that can help to optimize the color palette with very easy and quick adjustments.
Great comparison! I think that portraits on the oppo have apperantly more details (look on the hair and eyes) and better boceh vs Samsung that has a lot of artifats on the edges of the model
Awesome comparison Chris! Crazy to see the lens flaring issue creep back with the s23 ultra? The s22 ultra introduced a special lens coating that was supposed to deal with that, I wonder if they dropped it for the new sensor?

Great companion of these flagships. Each has a trick up its sleeve and can help decide what you prefer as there isn't a one that beats all. Just in that night selfie video the difference was brutal. Keep up the great reviews
Tell the truth Oppo considerer with triple ultra flagship cameras and already winned with hardware statistics.If we talk about lot of peaple's thinks which Samsung better did it.They only injured from artificial and oversaturated vibrant colors.. Unfortunately, they did not even interested in professional photography or videography..They need only eye pleasure photos))))

Saw your review the other day and you were the first reviewer who convinced me the Oppo Find X6 was the best in general (by means of showing the product nuances, not by trying to push your own opinions). Now dxomark is out and they just confirmed your findings. The one thing that caught my attention was the fact that Oppo used those high quality 50MP cameras besides its main cameras, something I hadn't payed attention before. They did a very good job on this one. Too bad their phone is only Chinese for now! Thank you for your effort, and congratulations for your daughter; I have a niece around her age, and seeing their little faces always brings me joy!
Great comparison! Thanks for addressing the over-sharpening issue :) Camera assistant on Samsung has a 'smoothing' option, which is supposed to reduce the level of over-sharpening/processing. Maybe try it out for your next comparison. Cheers!
Maybe but normally I stick with default settings as I did here is that is what most people go with. But yes I'm getting a bit sick of the over sharpening Samsung and apple are doing it a lot now.

They all don't have the best video performance sadly. But I think it's Zeiss T* lens with the Vivo X90 pro+ then Find X6 Pro for stills that are better than Xiaomi and Leica. However both the BKK phones don't have as good video as the Xiaomi.
Hi. I saw a lot of posts in Reddit saying that, even if you activate the 50 MP shots in the Oppo, the photos will continue to shot at 12 MP, even in raw mode. Have you experienced this issue?
No I don't share the photos or raw files anymore because people starting make their own comparisons from these files. Their own videos off my work, sucks that a few idiots ruined this. Also for the camera comparisons I don't do RAW files as imagine my lightroom edit later is better on one Vs the other? Not fair the fairest way is auto mode as this is also what 95% people use.

At 12:14 the xiaomi 13 pro is able to capture quite a few stars. Which makes me wonder how well they would take night sky shots in the city. I had the Xiaomi 11 ultra and before it died, it managed to capture stars that my own eyes found it difficult to see *post processing in snapseed and PS of course*. But I am loving the vibrancy of the Oppo find x6 pro. Such a shame that its china exclusive.
The wind really mess Xiaomi videos. Other then that honestly won't go wrong with any of these. Question. You think of getting Vivo x90pro European? It comes with dimensity chip curious how different they are. Also when is honor magic5p releasing?
Ahhhh there's the 2x 1000w bike! The Xiaomi sucks in terms of the mic (and not only). With wind, that's all you can hear. The s23 ultra is amazing. Don't even notice the wind
The S23 mics ate the best I've ever heard in a phone. The bike got another ride today and recorded most of the video so it's coming soon the review. It climbs well but it's so darn heavy with two motors!

Do you think it would be useful to test the quality of the whatsapp / telegram video call as one of the tests in your camera comparison? I do know that the iphone would probably always win, but how does it look if we see the video call quality in different android phones? That's the type of test I always miss, and the true is that most users use the front facing camera for this purpose. I am very rarely recording any video with the front facing camera. Or perhaps you know if the quality of the call depend strictly on the app, not the firmware of the phone?

Yes true but there are some big differences if you shot a lot of video the OPPO and Xiaomi have some huge judder issues in low light. Samsung is the king at video on Android now. As for stills the X6 Pro is one of the best now the main camera.
Why has everyone forgot about the Vivo x90 Pro Plus all of a sudden? I feel its more worthy than the xiaomi to test..like comparing apples to apples wise. And thank you for the great review

It's not, in this comparison for example human photos were somewhat preliminary and used portrait mode which utilizes secondary algorithms, and human photos are the most important ones. If you looked for others comparisons, s23u is plain soft in details, has no texture on the face in comparison to latest vivo/oppo

La gente crítica mucho a dxomark pero aquí se ve claramente el porqué Samsung y xiaomi han fallado este año en cámaras. Son buenas por supuesto, son móviles de gama premium, y con luz diurna todos funcionan bien. Donde esta la batalla es ena las situaciones complicadas de alto contraste y nocturnas y ahí Oppo es realmente muy superior y Samsung pierde por mucho, al igual que Xiaomi.uns comparativa interesante aunque pienso que el gran angular de Oppo es mejor que el de Xiaomi en lo demás coincido.
Not sure why you only looked at the skind tone in the portrait section, the Samsung blurred the hair around the head and Oppo clearly was better at not doing so.
Interesting comparison. Going to Hong Kong in two weeks and will pick up the S23 ultra. Albeit I agree that the Oppo has the better hardware, I think the software support, actual google Play store and brand recognition of the Samsung makes up for it's short comings. Cheers from 🇹🇼
Low light yes and some shots. But the video quality makes up for it for me. However if you take a lot of photos the Vivo X90 Pro+ and Find X6 Pro and a good choice. Soon I'll have the Magic5 Pro.
This comparison was great and I agree with your assessments. Find X6 Pro shines in night mode shots whereas S23U is too poor. Samsung's night mode has gotten really poor in the S23U even compared to S22U it feels to me. Videography was much better on Samsung though and extremely stable with great sound quality. Now, frankly Oppo has the best hardware and it needs some tunings to do as the potential of that camera setup is huge. Safe to say that Vivo X90 Pro Plus is still the overall best perhaps.
@@Techtablets I see. I just hope that these Chinese OEMs now take videography seriously too. Too many flagships are still stuck on 1080P on the front cam.
Still S23 Ultra is the best overall. In terms of video chinese phones nowhere near to top tier phones apple, Samsung, Google. But in photos they can outperform those 3 with superior hardware but consistency is a meh. But hardware isn't everything right Google? 😂
where is the indoor photo? I have both samsung and xiaomi. Samsung photographs worse than Xiaomi in all scenarios except 10x zoom. Samsung has all the colors very bright, and you have them almost all the same. or did you spend time editing photos from samsung? what watering mode did you use in xiaomi? and did you use ai
