I always thought no one could do these moves as smooth as an animated character. I was wrong! I was waiting for the original move @0:22 and it finally came @2:33 ☺ so cool!
In the "strangulation" scene and a couple of other scenes, there is clearly a discrepancy between the final picture and the preliminary one. But mostly, of course, everything is super consistent! Paula you are the best!
The reason is that they first shoot footage with the real guy to prepare the coreography’s timing (paula’s gotta know where to move dancing all alone) and to give the animators a direct reference, especially in the dance moves and the wide shots where Paula interacts with him In fact the animated parts shot without reference were some closeups of the characters just being cartoony all by themselves
Simplemente excelente 👌... y eso que fué hecho con Tecnología de hace casi 35 años. Simply excelent, ¡This video was perform with 35 years technology! 👏
The one on the left looks just like your basic average 90’s or late 80’s music video but the final cut on the right looks like it could be apart of an animated movie
Haha, well it is explainable. The one on the left is the source tape counter (if you watch it shifts between scenes) the centre one is the edit counter, 01:xx:xx time code etc. There’s also one counting in 1/12” which will be the reference I guess for 12fps animation to be rotoscoped on.
