Hawaii is for the natives of Hawaii. It should have always been like that. It’s okay to go visit their beautiful islands, but when you try to uproot and displace an entire culture for you to amass material wealth, that is unscrupulous! For years! 3 weeks ago, I was searching a topic and out of desperation I watched one of her shows.. Glad I did too.. I seen a totally different side to her than what the masses were saying about her! After I had watched the interview it left me feeling happier and more content than before. One thing that really resonated with me was the idea that we make the decision to be happy when we are ready to recognize it. I have been living by that idea for the past 32 years, knowing that no matter what life throws at me, I can choose to be happy. @kristineanderson4983.. I agree with you. If you watch some of the interviews of the residents of Maui, they say that they never got a cent from that so called "people's fund of Maui". They are saying that the only money that they received was the $700 from the federal government. I wonder where all of that money went, if they even did donate it, which I do not believe to be true. I watched Oprah's show for years and years. Sometimes, I would try to talk to my older sister about a show that I watched, but she would tell me that "she did not like Oprah". I would say, "why not?" She said, "I don't trust her." My sister is very intuitive.

I’ve always enjoyed Oprah’s shows. Unfortunately, now, I feel that sometimes she links up with professional health and mental health people in order to preach an Oprah truth, and it is not even in her “lane,” because she is not a health care professional. I don’t feel like this is a good idea. I know she has wisdom, but to keep hearing “ I know this to be true” statements all the time loses me. Because this is not true for all people. Most of us live a life that is “right here and now.” Because most of us are just living a daily life with what is. And I can say that for me, that very spot is happy.

I agree as much again as I’ve said before, I’ll say it again. I have liked her or even been inspired by Oprah. She seems out of touch lately, a lot of people are grieving suffering of all sorts, particularly Maui, Libya, Morocco etc…💔🌏💔 This comes off as toxic positivity to me personally, you can’t be happy all of the time. This message is not as profound and original as Oprah and Nora act like it is. Happiness is a pursuit, not a destination. Duh! Comparison kills happiness. Duh! Happiness is a derivative of a meaningful life. Duh! All these things and more are taught in the Bible. Oprah doesn’t have access to a higher level of wisdom than the rest of us. Read and study the Bible. It will teach you far more about life than Oprah can.

The problem with Oprah is that she has major FOMO which leads her to do things where she hasn't really given much thought to how her actions affect others, so she causes problems. Her only rule is can it be bought and if so then she's in. So she bought over 1000 acres in Maui wo assessing how locals barely have housing much less land. She didn't care to think sbout that. All that mattered was thst it could be bought for a price. Her reputation precedes her so people didn't want her showing up sfter the fires, but sgain she doesn't know how to read what's going on and this was just like putting salt in the wound. But she thinks very simply and really thinks of nonbillionaires as not that significant so she "didn't understand" when people threw hate comments at her. She is just a sad, sad person becsuse she doesn't get it, you'd think a 70 year old with that much money would be wiser. All she wants to do is pretend to care, but actually all she really wants to do is sit in pretty homes and go shopping.

One thing that I learned about living in this country, everybody is so politically correct, eager to squeeze themselves to be the most righteous person and even have their own conspiracy theory to brainwash themself. Maybe that statement is too harsh or judgmental yet I experience it myself, I was not born in this country, never heard about confidence is *Very* important and if you've less, you have an issue with self-esteem and if you've more than you're the *Narcissist*, I don't even know about that term and it's not exists in my childhood. People will think you're naive and fake if you're kind and happy and .... It's the polarization of the society that judges others who do not like themselves, If you're being negative about it, they dislike you, if you join the cult without knowing yourself well, you're just being not authentic and become the people pleaser. Now, you know why it's hard to be so direct, just be someone who is not into telling others the truth which may demonize their feelings yet not into lying as well, somewhere in between. Having values in your life may be the best way to live your life.
