As a leader definitely, otherwise I prefer Kaido for the little bulkiness he adds, his revive is also really strong and I think his special fits better to that team especially with Moria. But this is debatable Yamato is really strong as well
About Ability, yes, he also can revive but the Damage Yamato deal is a lot and most time it 1 shot 1 or 2 enemy while Kaido it depend on enemy HP. That 4x Atk sound much but with high DF like DEX and PSY, it not really matter like Yamato Half Stats and 3x Atk.
