OPTIMIZATION AS A DESIGN'S TOOL IN ARCHITECTURE DISSERTATION @STUDIO GREG LYNN UNIVERSITY OF APPLIED ARTS VIENNA JUNE - 2016 ANGEWANDTE KUNST BANAFSHEH FAHIMIPOUR
This is amazing. I wonder why does not have many comments. Well..... would you be so kind to guide me on how to approach one of this many task on grasshopper and galapagos right? maybe just one of the many that you show here. for example the best why to create a geometry that gets the best view of the city even though there are a few other buildings blocking it. would you? thanks
that is nice of you! well short, I kept some sort of factors as the parameters to affect the design process of using the optimization tools. So, for instance, for the best view, I've chosen the tallest building in the surrounding as the obstacle, therefore the optimization process helped me to find the best view for the towers based on where these neighbors wouldn't block the view. All the best!
Hi! This is great work. I wanted to know more about the software/plugin you have used for this. Also, do you know any other tools which I can research on for Multi-optimization in architecture design?

Hi , I am a practicing architect and am planning to pursue a master's in computational design, just mentioning my background, I have used software like, Auto Cad, Revit, Sketchup, etc & have not yet used any coding software, I am very impressed with UCL computational design course but have few concerns, hope you take time to help me, 1) Does the university teach coding & the respective software for computational design? 2) Are they anything like the software I have mentioned above?
