Another solid video Luc. I’ll be checking my Google My Business account later to see what I have missed. Thanks as always for really helpful tips it’s very much appreciated, I know it’s a lot of work. 👍🏻
@@rankingacademy any advise on running a GMB in a multi-lingual environement ? i basically have english / spanish / german and french local customers to engage with :) super thank you !!!
@@rankingacademy Knowledge Panel (on Google) I have one, but it could use improvement. I’ve claimed it, worked on it, but it never seems to have the info I want (need).
@@rankingacademy could do with my site being audited along with best practices for the Google map pack etc. I have a competitor who seems to be everywhere, Yet only has one physical location. No matter what I type in Google they dominate the search. My business is very niche, except for the large companies there are only this company and me trading in a large area. I can explain more privately.
Great video, thanks. I would like to ask you for a piece of advice: How should a travel operator advertise their tours on Google Business? As products or services? or both? What do you think?
Hi Isabel. I am not sure how you operate but as an example you could use the services tab for things like, group tours, private tours, corporate tours and the products tab for destination like Thailand, morocco etc.. hope this make sense
Hi Luc, Thanks for being awesome and helping us with your knowledge. I need your help for a quite uncommon business category. I did all the things apart from the questions answer thing. It is a wholesale business with variety of products for hue array of customers and retailers are its target customers. Some keywords are ranking but not in Maps. I am trying to push more wholesale keywords so that retailers could be targeted. Can you make a video on this?
Hello. I’ve learned a lot from your videos. I am Brazilian and I want to start working with GMB. I already manage some cards and I have had good results. I have a question: Can I open a file as a GMB service provider? It would be a card without an address because I don't have an office for assistance.
At 2:42 I have tried to do the button. This is a pretty new video, I know things change fast, but I could not get a blue button show up? hmm Again great info. Lastly my posts do not show up on my Google listing? Thank you. TM
Hi, love your vids, appreciate your efforts. My question is, we are told by some, to copy all the categories that our competitors in our niche are using in their gmb, is this recommended if we don't have any reference or text or keywords that credit the other categories ? ie- if a plumbers main category was "plumbing", and his competitors also uses home building, home renovation, construction, etc etc as their categories, is it wise to hijack all those categories?
Many thanks Paul. It doesn't make sense at all unless you offer those services. Don't listen to whoever told you that. Just add the categories that are relevant to your business and create content on your website to match. You'll have a much better chance of appearing in search results for the right keywords.
I run a towing company out of Orlando Florida, Recently I noticed pictures of myself at work Jump starting a truck Disapprove, Also towing cars on my tow truck Google disapprove. I'm confused help. Even the picture in the logo was disapproved I am puzzled.
Hi Luc, so I want to add a gallery of images for our product and services categories (and have text overlay like the electrician example in your video) are there optimal image specs I should be working within - am having trouble finding what the image specs are for the product gallery. When I look in GMB it suggests 720 x 720 px but that would imply a square when the gallery images look to be more rectangle. Am I overthinking this? I just want to utilise the image space correctly so that it doesn't crop any of my image etc. Thanks! Erin
Hi Erin. I ran into the same problem and after some trial and error I found that 860px by 640px worked well. I added some copy in the image right in the middle although you don't have to.
@@rankingacademy Cheers Luc! I've managed to add 10 products much like the example business in the video - but they don't seem to display in GMB? When I view my GMB profile in an incognito tab it doesn't display the product thumbnails like I'd hoped and that's even after leaving it for a couple of hours. Did you find there was a while for you to wait until it showed or have a missed something in the adding products process? Thanks heaps for your help btw - am a huge fan of your channel!
1.For the service-related business can I show the services as a product on GMB? 2.For the education website all the courses, can I show them as a Product in GMB?
Lau, I would like to ask one question that if my client's business is in other location. And my office is in another city. How to check my targeted keywords performance in my client location? Please help me
They are driving me potty.... I have a ltd company which I renamed since incorporation and want to get my Knowledge Panel verified so they want some business document which has my name and the company on it... which I don't think is possible and they wont verify from companies house listings as that requires more than a couple of seconds effort... sent them the accounts as that has both names on it... 4 attempts now and about to give up due to lack of flexible verification process for this thing.
I watched your video on changes to google review where it has added attributes and other questions while leaving a review. One of my customers left a review but it has not appeared since 3 days. Wrote to Google but got an automated email and did not hep. Any suggestions please. Thanks
My GMB profile says its 80% complete and I need to add a logo. I have already added a logo and it even shows i can edit it. Also have a cover photo as well as a bunch of owner uploaded images. Any suggestions?
Hi there. My GMB dashboard also shows 80% complete but it isn't. This is a known GMB bug. Google are aware and hopefully will fix it by the end of the year.
