optimum car care products are the best! I wetsanded and used the hyper compound and hyper polish on a fresh brand new paint job and it came out super shiney and smooth as butter! I'm glad I didnt buy the 3m perfect it products. 3m perfect is too expensive and I think overrated.

Newbie question!!!! every polisher I've ever bought stated not to spin it while it's off the car cuz it could damage the machine any truth to that ? I see you guys doing it to dry the pad. Also what do you use on your personal car for a sealant and wax? Thank you guys so much for your time

You seem to always make 4 passes, is it enough or should you, in real life, continue until the product gets transparent for maximum effect? What speed are you moving the machine? Even if this video has those parts sped up, it seems you are moving the machine too fast so this video is probably only for demontration the products, not the best methods? Btw, lost my Optimum compounding/polishing virginity to the hyper twins yesterday! ;)

Do you have to use the Zentool DA polisher when using optimum products or can another da polisher be used?

For the hyper polish, what if I dont have the pad washer? Do I just spritz a fresh pad with ONR and then a spray of polish and proceed to work? Also, does the car need a wipe down after hyper polish if LSP is gloss coat? Thanks

Yes and Yes, ONR works great, if you don't have Paint Prep or a ISP (Alcohol) before Gloss Coat

Curious about a more coarse cutting pad like the orange waffle with a 1step product like the GPS, Wouldent a softer black pad be better ?

Depending on the paint, yes. You can definitely change the cut of the product by changing the pad. Depends on the situation. The Orange is safe for all steps.

They are both great, but the Hyper System is what the company is trying to utilize more. Also it is a newer technology compared to the Compound and Polish II

I wish they showed better before and after shots. Very briefly, you can see the GPS didn't get rid of the deep scratch, and the intensive polish reduced the scratched a lot, and the Hyper twins did a really good job. At least this video shows the limitation of each step.

I believe that is the GPS section. That's to be expected with an all in one from any brand on deep scratches. What you could do if you had a deeper scratch is hit it with a bit of 3000 grit wet sand paper and then the all in one. I've had success with Optimum Poli-Seal removing 3000 grit so I would guess GPS would fare the same.

severely disappointed with that hyper system. maybe it'd be better on a better da polisher than my 70 dollar cheapo one, but it always tore through swirls with ease using the meguiars da microfiber system and compound. being in the UK it's so hard to get hold of most optimum products including the hyper compound and I ended up paying a fortune to get a bottle shipped from germany. used both a microfibre cutting pad and foam cutting pad and was very disappointed with the correction capabilities. It also never sprayed out, was always too thick that it glooped out like a regular compound spout so the benefits of that were taken away, and adjusting the nozzle to the point where it didn't gloop out it was too tight to come out at all. don't know what I could've done differently but thoroughly disappointed with the hyper system when I was so looking forward to trying it.

Sorry to hear that Adam, I do know that a a long throw polisher does work better with this system than a short throw. Mequiar's DA system does have fillers in it. Which the Hyper system does not. This product line does require a bit of a learning curve but once comfortable with the process it is truly amazing as the correction capabilities are epic. If you need to I'd get in touch with Optimum Car Care Europe at opticoat-pro.com/ and find out who their UK reps are. This way you might be able to find a detailer in your area that can teach you the process One on One! Hope this helps!.

The finishing system has fillers for the megs da but the correction compound doesn't as far as I'm aware. I don't use the finishing bit I use either 205 or similar finishing polish as I don't like fillers.

I noticed they applied Opti Seal to the Hyper panel without cleaning the panel with a paint prep(IPA). So if you were adding a ceramic coating would you do the IPA step after removing the compound and polish?

Yes, and I would be using Optimum Paint Prep, nothing else, because it works best together with their coatings and other protective products. I would never use self-made IPA again, it is a thing that should be left to the past already.

Opti-Seal doesn't require a panel wipe.
