Appreciate your simpler way of teaching. Just a small request : if possible, please re-do this same topic with PE option buying and selling. Also kindly include a comparative analysis of same strike options over two monthly expiries. Like ATM/OTM PE Selling in June & July expiry and there corresponding impacts on chances of profitability. Hi Saket nice explanation... Great work by ur team... Thanks a lot. Just a point about extreme bullish view. In this case u suggested to buy future but trade charges will be more for futures. Instead can we buy ATM Call and ATM Put so that Delta becomes 1 which will be equal to long in Futures.? So we can save charges.. Please suggest. Thanks in advance

NIce effort to keep things simple and understandable. But couldnt get the logic why otm loses favor simply because it loses more percentage wise, but yet value wise not. You lose way lot of money in itm option buying if it doesnt go your direction, period. As a trader the amount matters, not the percentage, even if you are a rich trader, especially when you lose money. In the other hand if itm option selling is such a bad idea in all circumstances how itm option buying will happen. I mean whats the point.

Superb video Saket. I have a question, if I am buying options and just holding it for 15 mins Max.. In this case I feel ATM is better because when the trade goes against you you lose less compared to ITM. This is keeping in mind I am nullifying the theta effect by buying and selling the options within 15mins. What do you suggest? In such a scenario would ATM be better than ITM? As I take high number of scalpling trades where I am not bothered about theta but what I am worried is losing less when the trade goes wrong and gaining more when the trade goes right..

Its all easy in theory. But in real-time identifying trends, and adjusting/exiting wrong positions is very difficult. Need lot of practice and patience. By the time new traders decide what to do damage is already done. So if u r new and u have very limited capital then either trade in cash or hedge.

Hello sir.. need a big help.. i just started option selling 2weeks ago.. previously i was only trading with option buying. i Started opt.selling with a capital of 1.25 lakh.. after 2weeks my current portfolio is 1.21lakh.. i don't know how I lost 4k.. i didn't have any significant loss .. i had a maximum loss of 3k. And l traded 2 expiry and almost gained 10k in each expiry day. I keep checking on total margin which becomes less when I carry position and gained back after i exit my position. I went through the ledger report and contract reports also but didn't get much help.. am I going wrong somewhere.. my daily broker charge is around 200rs. I really need some clarity in this otherwise i cant have courage to move forward in trading if i stay confused. Thank you if you can help sir. 🙏
