Been trading stocks and researching the market / TA for the last 7 years, today via TD I was approved for Covered and Long Options. Very excited to work through this video thread. Just wanted to say thank you, and you'll be seeing my name pop up more and more! So sorry in advance for dumb questions! 😂

Thanks for this video. Really great explainer. The only note I would have is like a class I would only read chat or take questions at certain points -as it takes you off topic and would avoid reading comments that aren’t helpful to the presentation at that point. I was all in for your presentation, but got lost or bored at times when the chat took you off into a tangent. Taking questions for a beginner session asking about things we had not discussed yet was confusing and annoying. Get you want to interact but often didn’t find it helpful.

Totally fair feedback but that’s actually the entire point of these sessions being a livestream, to enable active conversations. Beginners are at lots of different stages of their learning, but as I mention in the video - being surrounded by the substance is useful, even when it’s not fully understood up front. As for the boredom - can’t help you there lol. I have a playlist with recorded videos that flow end to end without interruption that you can check out if that’s more your speed. Options as a Strategic Investment is also a great book that might follow the flow you’d like. Good luck!

I enjoy listening to your videos to and from my new job with a 30m commute each way. Especially love the covered strangle videos! Keep it up, bro.

Good learning session. Even though I now understand most of these concepts you helped reinforce the ideas.

That’s absolutely awesome to hear - you’re at a solid fundamental level then. Well hit another one of these sessions in two weeks and build off this one!

For me personally, Ratio Diagonals, covered strangles, short strangles (buying wings if necessary).

haha as a rugby player i totally remember my first penalty, it was hands in a ruck. i read euans volatility trading book in college (circa 2016) and built a few models thinking i was gonna crush the market, boy was i wrong! love ur content and looking forward to future videos. theres a book called "the program" by Eric Kapitulik and Jake MacDonald that i think u would enjoy.

Good vid, I enjoy your style ! I’m glad I’m not a beginner though, because it’d be impossible to follow as you keep answering questions during the presentation. Maybe taking the questions at the end would make it easier for beginners to follow? And also, not reacting to trolls and banning them straight away would help clear things out?

great feedback! i have standalone intro to options videos that people can watch end to end, these are designed to be interactive and an intermediate step. [ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Dlw9oTPZE9c.html] for the trolls, yeah I spent a little too much time interacting with them, i try really hard to allow anyone to stay but definitely something I've integrated moving forward.

@@OutlierTrading Hey thanks ! I’ll check that one out too. I watched Part 2 yesterday and understood that interactivity is the whole idea of the series. Even though it makes it harder for a beginner to follow, I don’t mind too much cause to me all your answers are insightful and clear cut. That’s why I’m watching your “beginner” series : to find that one or two tips and tricks I still don’t know 🤩 By the way, do you have a video or another series on your set up? (the types of tools you like to use daily, the way you structure your trading platform on your screen, why you picked that particular platform, the type of trade logs you track to constantly get better, when during the day do you like to trade, what your preparation looks like, how do you structure your hedging at the portfolio level, etc.)

When I enter into an option it seems to always go down right away I panic and end up selling, wondering if I should hold longer ,, so much to learn

Honestly if this is the question you’re asking, you’re looking at it entirely wrong. Options are just a vehicle to trade ideas. So first, would be analyzing your analysis and seeing why the underlying isn’t moving as you’re expecting it to.
