It’s crazy how the dye and lotion allow a disc to soak up the dye so well! I’m shocked how vibrant the colors are after it sits!

White discs are the way to do go for dyes. They all the dye to really pop out!

My hope is to learn the flick very soon. I do it for upshots, but i haven't learned it for drivers yet. I have gotten pretty good with backhand and it seems to work for most shots, but it would be nice to have the flick available for use too!

Love your advice to use glass jars for storing acetone based dyes. Given time, that stuff will cause plastic containers to leak. I am just getting started dyeing, bought some pro chem dyes and hit the web to see how to mix them. I picked up some dollar store frisbees to use as my dye bed trays. I see you are using around the same ratio of dye to liquid, whether the carrier liquid is lotion or acetone. Do you see a difference in how vibrant the dye colors appear on similar colored discs when comparing acetone based dye to dyes made with lotion as the liquid? I like the idea of the lotion based dye being similar consistency to the bed, less chance for dye to travel to areas where you don't want it..

Yes, glass jars are the way to go. I just got a few more from a local garage sale that looked to be like jam jar size. They are perfect bc you can add a bit more dye/acetone in them!

45 mins in the sun! It was the middle of summer and just about 2pm when I put it outside. There are lots of other ways too… heat lamps take a few hours,, hot bed dyes take about 10 to 15 minutes, etc. no heat is about 18-24 hours.

Sorry to hear that. I've been told that a few of these disc dye videos the quality of audio is bad. I'm not sure why. Bc when I listen to them on my laptop, ipad, and phone there's nothing wrong with it. I can only assume it's something on the backend with RU-vid.

It might be a little. I left my garage open during the video and there are so many cascades outside. I tried to post edit their sound out. I should have done a voice over. I hope it’s not too distracting.

Love your work but i think you use damn to much glue in the bottom layer👎you can use 1000ml to at least 5-6 dyes 🤗specialy if you do your colors with glue 🎨 hope to see moore great dyes from you🤗👊
