This is a viewer sent in projector that the owner had almost gotten 100%. The light tunnel proved a bit more hassle than was reasonable so it was sent to me. Always smart to do what you can, but real smarts is knowing when to talk to someone who might know more.
The light tunnel was removed from the optical assembly and I re-bent the spring that provides the resistance for the adjustment screws. A good tip is to keep track of what direction and what side was facing out. Most tunnels like to sit one way. This one has a small tab on the metal frame that is pushed on by one of the spring tabs. If that is the wrong way, it will cause geometry issues.
Another bit of info. I finally paid cognizant attention to what screw did what with the image. Being that its on an angle and wrapped around optically, the screw pointing towards the front of the projector is the Up/Down adjustment. The screw pointing towards the back is the Right/Left. I suspect this applies to most DLP projectors or at least models that have the lamp and lens in the same arrangement to each other.
Tightening the front screw lowered the light, tightening the back screw, pushed it to the right.
Some of the screws seemed to have ran away, but I keep all the screws from stuff I take apart to scrap. I was able to find some screws that worked well and re-assembled it all easily.
