EVEN AFTER CREATING INDEX DATA IS DISPLAYING STILL IN SAME ORDER NOT IN EITHER ASCENDING OR DESCENDING..

hi sir, I have one Question for you, if I create two indexes based on same table, same column with different Index names, one is Des order another one is Asc order, If want to retrieve the values based selected column condition in where condition, how the data fetched from table based on first index? or Second index?

The maximum number of columns in a composite key index is 32. However, the combined size of all the columns cannot exceed roughly one-half (minus some overhead) the available data space in a data block.

SIR YOUR JUST KEEP ON CREATING INDEXES ON COLUMNS BUT AT THE TIME OF SELECT COLUMNS WE ARE NOT GETTING ORDERED FARMENT

I do have one doubt, you are creating simple index on specific column and after creation you are able to view the record in sorted order in your editor... but when i am trying same in my editor i can able to create the index but cant able to view the sorting ordered list , the column remains as same before and after creation of the simple index. In case if i want to view the column in sorted order, do i need to pass any query or do i need to configure any extra stuff in my editor- oracle 10 g express edition.... expecting positive reply sir!!!
