Orange Cassidy has done something rarely seen in pro wrestling/sports entertainment... He has given prestige to the AEW International Championship with a unique style and a bevy of great matches. He has made that title the true secondary strap for this promotion. The capper to it all is if he can procure the World Championship from whomever holds it when that time comes

This was the guy that when he first walked in to AEW, I loved that he just didn't do much and what he did was half-assed. Cut to 4 years later, and I loved that he gave us absolutely every fibre of his being, put on 32 championship defences, won a Stampede match with his best friends, and got to main event a PPV with the title he helped build to that level. It's been a ride.

A part of me wanted OC to win this so bad, but he's done all he can at this level, and losing to a guy like Mox ain't a step down at all. And Mox had to practically kill him to win it. If you don't believe in OC after this match, I don't know what to tell you. Only problem is... is there room at the main event level right now? Even with Punk gone it seems pretty crowded at the top. Who DO you push next? OC? Ricky Starks? Darby Allin? Hell... what about someone like Jay White? AEW almost has an embarrassment of riches at this point.

IMO there are two options for orange: First is Orange vs Christian Cage/Luchasaurus. The longer this whole weird thing with Luchasaurus being champion but CC pretending he is goes on, the less favors it does the title. Either that or Luchasaurus needs to turn on CC. That, or we begin OC’s rise to main event status (he’s proven he belongs there, ratings: charisma, and in ring work wise) and pair him off with Jay White or Samoa Joe, until we get the breakup of MJF and Adam Cole (it’s inevitable, as we can’t have the title tied up in this forever) and the heel champion is available to feud with.

I think the main reason I'm sad that OC lost here is that I'm very worried this is the peak for him. I don't think the fans are gonna get behind him enough for a world title run. Trios gold is almost guaranteed I think, maybe a tag title run or a TNT run or two, but idk if he'll ever win the big one. Hopefully he gets the shot someday though

Perhaps. What I would hope happens for a World Title chance would be a story that continues what happened last night. He has been casting off that sloth persona more and more over the past few months. He's shown he can cut a promo. So vs a good heel that clowns him for being lazy, he can prove to him and the fans that he's anything but. He tries when he has to, he'll absolutely try for the world title match. He'll prove he's no joke and has no catch phrase.

After sunday i am truly happy how far Orange Cassidy has come from being a comedy wrestler to showing his true side against moxley which is the 3nd time after his match with will ospreay and pac which I was very happy to see. Admittedly he can't be everyone's cup of tea but this man competed at Wembley in stadium stampede won with his best friends alongside him. Sunday that man gave us every fiber of his being in a bout he refused to quit until the very end and him finally main eventing an aew ppv rightfully with title he helped create prestige and into something worth fighting for and with how he carried the All Atlantic/International championship to heights with defending it 31 times continuously and becoming a workhorse as one of the greatest champions AEW has seen so far if their was a 5th pillar for AEW it be damn sure him and hopefully things will look bright for OC after losing the international championship.

Orange Cassidy is why professional wrestling is amazing!!! He is the best character in modern wrestling! His evolution while apart of AEW has been nothing but phenomenal development of a character from goofball side attraction, no one took seriously or really even understood all the way too being a complex, unique, irreplaceable, dedicated, consistent worker who regularly steals the show and no matter what his matches always are remembered and talked about!!! No one expected him to become an essential part of AEW’s foundation and his character development has played a part in the growth and success of the promotion!!! The run with the International Championship has been unbelievably entertaining and has proven Orange to be one of the best wrestlers in the business today!!! He knows his gimmick and IMO everything about the freshly squeezed character is pure genius and nuanced and layered! This run with the title has shown he isn’t a comedy act sideshow but a dedicated wrestler who is a comedic genius in the ring who was once overlooked, underestimated and written off but now should be considered one of the best wrestlers of his generation!!! I hope his loss to Moxley and the end of his run as the International Champion now gives him a chance to go after the big belt and Freshly Squeezed taking down MJF honestly would be such an amazing match!!! Two characters with the best gimmicks in modern wrestling I think they would blow peoples minds!!!

This was a mistake. OC absolutely should have won this match, this match would have absolutely made him as a main eventer. I think the worst thing is this ending didn't even play on all of his injuries. When I had OC lose, I would have had him lose to someone just tearing apart all of his different injuries, with them using some sort of hand lock to make OC pass out from all the pain. It might have made sense for a technician like Danielson to beat OC, and then use that title as the top title on Collision for a while
