I have ordered an Orange Crush Acoustic along with an Epiphone EJ-200sce. Also a looper to play along. I really hope I'll be getting them soon, especially the world is going thru a bad illness.
what i heard is the Orange Crush magnify the high frequencies of the pick up of the guitar,also i believe it has the riches high frequencies , the AER compact ,i think have a tweeter ,that means that if the tweeters are not there ,will be lack of high frequencies, the Orange crush made a clear sound of the low frequencies ,remind me the sound and quality of the Fender Twin speaker,my question is is the Orange Crush 30 a Tube Amp made?
Thanks for your insights. Both amps are solid state. I would say what you hear is relative. I would recommend checking both amps personally you might be surprised. AER sounds much sweeter and fuller if you actually sit with it in the room. Orange sounds more boxy. Still for the money you pay is really worth the money.
The AER Compact 60 doesn’t have a tweeter-it has a dual cone speaker, often referred to as a “whizzer cone”. The bigger brother, the Compact XL, has a tweeter and single cone driver, but having owned both the 60 and the XL, the Compact 60 is a better sounding amp.
Orange : no bass and no medium. AER is the best acoustic amp on the planet. What you play and the way you play (very busy) is not realist. It should be interesting to have response curve of the Orange ( the AER uses dual cones with large flat response).
