Orange-tip - the spring butterfly 

Anthocharis cardamines, the Orange-tip, is the butterfly that best represents spring in Ireland. They usually fly from late March until the end of May, or early June, but this year I only saw my first in the last few days due to our much colder than usual spring temperatures.
