Join me for a ride around the lanes of the South Hams whilst I ramble on about my new E-Bike, the the Orbea Gain D40 (2022 version). I have to thank two other RU-vid channels for guiding me to this machine and they are: "Yako Rides aGain" ( • My First HC Climb - th... ) and Lake District Cyclist ( / @lakedistrictcyclist . If my narrative proves too much the meat of the video (i.e. my conclusions) starts at 7mins 11secs.

@@joseojedaartiles2584 Thankfully it hasn’t but I believe it has happened to some. I don’t always use it as in addition to my Osmo camera I also occasionally use 360 cameras which are a bit heavier. Glad you enjoyed the video.🙂

Nice review John. Can I suggest instead of the saddle bag which obscures the rear light, get yourself a second bottle cage and a tool bottle holder. I have one of the tall Elite tool holders which I can fit a compact hand pump, spare tube, tyre levers, Allen key set, surgical gloves and a bandage! And I can easily swap between bikes.😊

I definitely have to get myself an e-bike, I rented one last summer and it was such a relief to be able to ride up a hill without having to dismount 👍

Thanks for the review John - very useful. Can I ask whether this bike is marketed as capable of going onto light trails with a change of tyre? Just curious as to whether the wheels on the D40 are strong enough for bumpier terrain. Many thanks.

I’m pretty sure you could as they market a gravel version which is the same frame but with a SRAM group set and wider tyres . Thanks for your comments.
