When I first saw online videos of this ride several years ago I couldn’t believe how intense they looked. Especially ones that totally inverted, like in Europe, but perhaps this was actually a Remix in disguise. I have never ridden one, but could probably do the more family-friendly ones.

The remix doesn't actually invert riders. It just lifts a little more than sideways. Btw glad to see this flat ride series come back in a new form!

The first Orbiter Ride I remember was at Dreamland Margate in 1979 and the operator booth was underneath centre in paybox like mentioned.

I've never ridden an Orbiter, but I've ridden a Remix at a local Swedish fair last summer, and that really was an intense experience! If nothing else, the inversions really cought me off guard, since I didn't know it could invert!

Yey...was hoping you'd cover the Orbiter. Quite common in the UK. Was a regular on our travelling fair circuit from early 1980s. Just like nothing else I'd ever seen..was just old enough to ride and loved it.

I recall riding two different versions of this. One was semi fast, while the other one went way faster at a blinding speed. I recall just watching one in motion one year, and the rate of speed must have been updated because all I remember was a blur of colors flashing in a haze of smoke. Cool ride visually especially at night.

SOOO incredibly glad this series is back! Its one of those types of videos I click on immediately when it pops up. If you want your videos to sound better, a pop filter on your microphone might help, I suspect you don't have one based on some of the audio pops.

Oh my GHOSTS!! This is my favorite flat ride! The ride company who comes to our county fair has one. Haven't been on one in years. I should go this summer. (Though, I'll have to figure something out with my service dog...)

:o So I went to a local travelling fair the other day - two of the rides I went on I'd never heard of before. Went home wondering if you'd done a flat ride of the week on either of them! Thanks for helping me fill out a couple columns on my credit spreadsheet haha

my homepark (PNE/Playland in Vancouver, BC, Canada) used to have an Orbiter come to the PNE Fair that was brought by West Coast Amusements, they punished you on it, the average ride time was around 4 minutes at full speed, it was such an awesome ride but definitely something not to ride after eaten or drank anything as it would make you throw up.

I want to one day go on a Remix! They look the bastard child of a g-force training centrifuge, and that looks like so much fun! I don't think that flat rides get enough love! They can be just as thrilling and creative as any roller coaster!

I love orbiters, I've been on Strates Show and The Flying Machine at BGW. The one at my county fair was much more intense than the Flying machine, also loading and unloading takes so long because the ride op has to manually lock and unlock all the restraints with a key, which I'm surprised that it's not hydraulically locked like some Huss rides are.

I rode this at a mardi gras carnival early last year. I threw up in an outback steakhouse bathroom like 3 hrs later. It's a never again for me😂.

Oh I have ridden several Orbiters including the Remix and Techno Power. I’ve also ridden the Soriani & Moser Extasy which was a very extreme version of an Orbiter.

I never get motion sick on rides but this one destroyed me so bad I had to sit down and couldn’t ride anything for 4 hours and even then I felt like I was on the verge of puking.

My first memory of this is the one at BG ... I thought it was called "Tri-Star", but I could be mistaken. I was stunned to find one of these at Sesame Place, though the very slow paced tempered that surprise. Many carnivals have these, and IMO they're always a welcome attraction.

I've ridden an orbiter once or twice. I really enjoyed it, but it caught me off guard with how intense it was? Not necessarily in force (wasnt more than most rides that have an overhead harness seat security), but in constant angle changes. Can be straining on the shoulders and sternum but fun all around and definitely worth trying at least once if it interests you.

My memory isn't TOO good but I'm pretty sure there's one of these that is always at the State Fair of Texas and it's always fascinating to watch. Pretty sure it's one of the model twos since I don't recall the inversion being at the level of the remix.

I remember the first time I rode one in the early 90s, that one was called the Typhoon. It was the same ride under a different name. It traveled with Butler Amusements. I remember that time one of my friends and I almost got kicked off of it for putting our feet out over the edge of the ride vehicle. I remember it being really intense to me at the time. After riding Gravitron, Flying Bobs and then this, we needed a break.

..you may need to distinguish your postings as between "thrill" rides and conventional enjoyment rides. While enjoying an amusement park overall, some have no interest in dare/extreme physical rides, going upside down or so fast all that can be seen while riding, is a blur.
