Welcome to Great Britain North, our second landmark region pack for Microsoft Flight Simulator following on from the successful Great Britain Central.
Designed especially for "low-and-slow" pilots who love to explore and discover new regions, and for those who want to enhance their VFR flights, this area stretches from the Isle of Man in the South and up to the Shetland Islands to the North.

Since the UK has already received its World Update (WU#3), I'm wondering if this OrbX product *replaces* the World Update stuff with even higher quality models OR does it *supplement* the World Update with even more *additional* landscape details? I have been very hesitant to buy regional OrbX scenery (I only bought some airports so far) because of potential redundancies with what the official World Updates are already offering. Does anyone know if the OrbX sceneries are still a significant enhancement even if an area has already been covered by a World Update?

I have both packs. They supplement with landmarks and POIs not covered in the world updates. They are well worth buying imo, adding around 500 landmarks in each pack, mostly lighthouses, castles, major city buildings and significant masts, radomes etc.

These are great add-ons for the sim. I love just coming across points on interest accidently too rather than seeking them out. Looking forward to completing the collection with Great Britain South...hint hint!

Orbx is apolitical. EU stands for Europe, the geographical area. NA stands for North America, AU for Australia, NZ for New Zealand and so on.

@@gregson99 Damn....here's me stupidly thinking about geographic areas, how narrow-minded of me, given previous updates have been geographically based.. Well, can't wait to see how Orbix handles all the non-EU member countries in the game.

Great product as usual from ORBX. Just wished same kind of attention might be put to USA, especially here on east coast where I do most of my flying. Just a wish on my part, not a complaint of any kind.
