We camped at Orchard Beach State Park for the first time earlier this summer and we were surprised to learn about the fires the same day as the Chicago fire as well. We also had a view of Lake Michigan from our site and we really enjoyed it there!
@@besttodayever1916 It really was. We were pleasantly surprised! When we were there, the park was completely full and the north side of the campground had a packed feel to it but the south side with the lake views felt a lot more open. We will definitely be back!
