I have always liked lingala music because of the effort the musicians put into producing good vocals. When I heard this song for the first time, I thought that the lead singer was a super human because of his superlative performance. RIP Nzayadio. Long live Vata Mombasa , the composer.
The good old days of the dominance of the Congolese music in the continent. We didn't know what they were singing about, we were still mimicking their voices and just dancing our young lives away. Still listening solely to Congolese music.
the masterpiece from natural talented zaireous brothers may god bless them ; this was/is classic performance by the group lipua lipua in 1970’s ; the whole continent was behind them
.....in ever loving memory of a dear Uncle James Okello wuon Were....Lipua Lipua were at the pinnacle of fame when you suddenly left us... recall their hits were a big score during those long nights preceding your funeral in East Gem, Midhine !!
Just imagine if this kind of musicians could still be around at this particular time..l remember they could take months for just one single composition.. not like nowadays whereby one could produce music within two days..
every time I listened to this song it helped me a lot during my dark days of carrying the burden of taking care of my family(my young sisters and brothers) after the death of my loved father, that life will never come again !!
Am 62yr this were best choices which were being played by ochestra biffo under the command of mochi the late late henry.johnnyro.latehassani chalimtongo it was fantastic god bless them
Hi age mate, that era was terrible, music was good ladies were good, AIDS was ravaging with no cure, and we were at prime sexual age.Thank God we survived
What a good old days hooooooo for these kind of melodies .there can be no time to remember like when we could just sit and listen to such musicians gone never will we have such
This kind of music is immortal and a monument for many generations to come, Cavacha/rhumba style. Authentic instrumental with no computer digital progs enhanced.thats the difference !
1974 I was in my 3rd Primary Class and this music used to be played on Radio Uganda. My big brother, a soldier during Amin's regime had brought home a wooden radio, National Hi-Fi with an external speaker and things were just kawa! I like the instruments more.
I was also in P3.My uncle also a soldier in the army came back from training in Egypt with a Sanyo record player with detachable top/loudspeaker.We would put the speaker on top of a pot to get that vibrating bass.Hahaha
😢We lived and ate the song during our high school days. Craze dressing attires-- bell bottoms, set me free, etc were the in things. Oscillating from one girl's school to another masquerading as dancing club .Made big strides in our youthful days. If you knew, you now know!! Dr. Ogeto International
This song is soo special..if yu understand what him (mwana mbundi) is singing about,yu'll agree the wording and the instruments got married then yua heart woul cry.

You would appreciate this kind of music more, if you happened to be the adventurous type in the late 70s and early 80s. I was one! And it was indeed pleasurable moments.
@@marcelonsimba1738 I didn't say he wasn't the owner/sponsor. I said he NEVER performed with all the bands that he sponsored/owned. And they were many such bands, not just Lipua Lipua. After leaving OK, Verckys formed his band Orch. Veve and he developed the Veve label for. He also got the bands he sponsored to use the same label, but he NEVER performed in those bands. NEVER! Orch Lipua Lipua's main saxophonist was called Benazo.
