Hey Brenda, I never knew how you take care of Orchids! I think that they are so beautiful! But, I would be a bit schidish about doing anything to them!! I am glad to see you do the transplanting of these today. The Strawberry Pot, is a name I didn't know that that pot was called. I like to see you handle the plant and not be looking scared about it. I did not know that they the old Oak bark! I enjoyed watching you transplant these Orchids. I enjoy these videos so much!, I love being outdoors anyway!, so you know I had a ball watching this. Thank you for sharing with us, we need this real down home experience now a days and in these trying times. God is good!!!

Made your Christmas trees last Winter..made 6 actually. Gave to family, they loved them. Was at the antique mall the other day and saw 1 for sale...asking price $65.00..could not believe it. Hope they can get that much.❤ your videos, always so interesting.

Hello Ms. Brenda. I'm in Michigan. I have the same problem i don't have room for my 15 orchids, but i love them. Please keep us updated. i think i might try this if it works out for you. I know our climate is very different, because of the great lakes we do have humidity but not like the far southeast. I have found my orchids love a west facing window to get them to Bloom, then I move them to a east window to enjoy the flowers longer. Love that you are not just cooking, you show us how to set a fun, interesting table and gardening ideas. Love watching you cooking. You make me hungry 😋

I too lived near the woods as a child & neighbor used to gather mushrooms there. Good luck with the beautiful orchid pot planting. I gather rainwater, not ice cubes as nature intended. Love your garden segments. Awaiting my 3rd cookbook. God Bless you! 💗

Gardening is my thing too, I could tinker with my plants all day long❤ NE GA has some stifling humidity as well, I'm a native S Floridian and never experienced this kind of breeze-less sticky heat. I live in Wisconsin and we have terrible humidity as well and thank you for the lesson on replanting orchids I just got one for Mother’s Day and it was beautiful and I was so proud that I didn’t kill it and all of a sudden the flowers fell off but the leaves are still green and look alive so I’ll keep watering it putting in a couple ice cubes and see if I get more flowers. Thanks again

Brenda, those "sticks" you think will be blooms, are actually air roots. I used to think the same way, but then I looked it up. Orchids actually get nutrients from the air too. I live in California so the air roots on my orchids die, because it's too dry. They love humidity, but I can't afford a green house planter. I have 4 orchids that are happy. I will be moving soon and I'll have to find a place for them to live. I hope they'll make the move with me.

I spent most of my summers as a child in the woods. I just could have spend all day and most of the time I did, spend all day in the woods and by the creek. I constantly had boils because of all the time playing in the dirt down by the woods.

I hope your orchids do really well in that planter! It will be beautiful when they are all blooming! That pot, I believe, is often used to grow different kinds of herbs but I am not certain. I hope you can show us your orchids when they bloom!
