The Arachnogenesis wouldn't have fogged the damage from your commander since he's a spider (though it wouldn't have mattered cause he could still chump block it).

This has no effect on the end of the game, as he had 18+ squirrels to drain the table with zulaport cutthroat,, but he would have only made 16 squirrel tokens from deep forest hermit entering. Either (4 + 4(chatterfang)) * 2 (2x season) Or (4 * 2 (doubling season)) + 8 (chatterfang). Same replacement effect can't apply to the same event (creating tokens) more than once.

Aphemia is so underrated in my opinion, can’t believe how much it was stopped by Martin near the end hahaha such a fun game to watch, any game with both Arachnogenesis AND Scourge of the Throne is a game for me 😍

The main problem with Aphemia is just that there's not a lot of support for mono-black Enchantress, and honestly while her ability is neat 'maybe a Zombie every turn' is pretty weak even if you do manage to bin enough enchantments.

Aphemia just doesn't do a lot, mono black is a solid colour but it's ability is super underwhelming.

At 9:30, you should've created 6 copies of Master of the Pearl Trident; 5 from the kicked Rite of Replication, 1 from Orvar. I don't think this really would've mattered in the end though. Cool video!

12:40 because chatterfang’s token ability is a replacement effect, the doubling season doesn’t work on the tokens he creates. Meaning, the the hermit creates 4 tokens, the effect of doubling season happens so it’s 8, then it’s replaced with chatterfang’s ability creating 8 extra squirrels (which the doubling season doesn’t duplicate). So in total there should be 16 and not 24 squirrels from the hermit etb. He’d win the game anyway, but this is an important ruling quirk.

I'm pretty sure doubling season doesn't double chatterfangs replacement effect after Martin already had doubling season double deep forest hermits tokens. Each replacement effect only happens once per event.

The thing to note is Chatterfang does not create tokens. Just like Season does not create tokens. Both modify how something else creates a token. The original effect from Hermit Druid creates 4 squirrels. You choose the replacement effect of Doubling Season so you create 8 Squirrel because 4*2. Then Chatterfang replacement effect sees the 8 tokens but creates 8 more becauce of its' ability. In total 16 Squirrels. You could also choose a different path and use the replacement effect from Chatterfang to be used first and then Season's. The result would be the same as well. Hermit Druid creates 4 squirrels. You choose the replacement effect of Chatterfang. You create 4 squirrels from druid and 4 Squirrels from Chatterfang but Season modifies those numbers to be 8 + 8, so 16 in total.

Just an FYI arachnogenisis only stops non spider damage. The person who uses it can use his spiders to take out a lot of what is attacking them

that went as expected, good job putting a Tier 2 deck (chatterfang) against a tier 3 deck (Orvar) and 2 Tier 5 decks. It sucks to load up one of these videos and know who the winner is.
