I love the guys that say I can get a whole set up w install 2500. I like how Mike approaches it. Looks like Mike is trying to make each build as bullet proof as possible. He’s setting you up for success. I like it.
INJECTORS NEED TO BE ON THE LIST !!! 117 with that cam and 55mm.. Gonna be leaning on those 4.3s or whatever are in there from factory .. same ones that been in the bikes since the 88 twin cam and u gonna make 2x that much hp
Will definitely need injectors if your over 120hp. The stock 4.38g injectors will be at 95% duty cycle at 120 hp. That setup will more then likely be soft until 3-35k rpm then come on hard. Se 1275n springs will hold the torque if you start to see it slip above 130ftlbs. Should be a ripper. Ride safe.
I'm surprised you not doing the Fueling rocker arm shafts and shims. You going to have all apart. Now be good time to powder coat the lower rockers, push rod spring coverts a color that matches your bike and black powder coat the tappet covers.
On a thrashin episode with fueling when t 11:40 hey upgrade Juan 107 they were saying to stick with the Harley tappet covers for some reason if I’m not mistaken
I went the same route but leaning more towards S&S parts, and I went with 30/30 cam as per recommended by the guru of fast, George Bryce, pay attention by not just the numbers but when you want the power to come on suited to your riding style, they all sound extremely cool!!
Just had my 2021 114 LRS with CR483 and SPC Big Bore tuned last week. Came out at 125hp/134tq. Holds flat right around 120 ft lbs until 3500 rpm and just takes off. Love it and it fits my riding style perfectly for the twisties. Great peak numbers for a 114 as well imo. You'll enjoy it.
My feuling HP+ lifters and fuel moto adjustable rods are really quiet. I done my stg 2 at 900 miles and I kept stock plate and oil pump also had the upgraded cam bearing as well from HD
I watched the video with great interest and noticed that the new intake manifold was not included in the list of total pricing. Great info and food for thought for future upgrades of my M8
Hey bro, I got the same setup on my bike 2021 FXLRS 114, CR483 cam, S&S lifters, adj pushrods, oil plate and pump, Screaming Eagle 55mm intake manifold and 5.5g injectors, SP Concepts Big Bore exhaust and V&H VO2 Falcon intake. Tuned with Powervision by Jiffytune out here in Elsinore, CA. 125hp/134tq. Installed at 15k on the odometer currently at 37k and still running strong!!
next time you talk to Mike ask him if he recomends the fueling rocker breathers being that they are plastic from the factory, just wondering cause I noticed that he has not done it on your bike,or holy shifts bike, anyway, keep up the good work, love the channel
Don’t need the S&S oil pump and cam plate. The new designed Harley version is better and more forgiving with run off. Do the in er cam bearing, lifters, push rods, intake manifold and compensator cam and call it a day. Obviously exhaust and intake as final pieces. Done
If you buy a throttle body. Go big. No point of keeping it the same size. Don't want to have to buy it twice down the road. S&s pump and plate are not needed.
are you doing bigger injectors? also recommend aftermarket compensator ramp and 1275 screaming eagle clutch springs, the bike will be a best😎 my numbers guess is 125hp with 135lbs of torque👌
Clutch springs and comp ramp definitely aren't needed for a stage two. I would save that for big bores. There are quite a few things he is adding that are more of a nice to have. Harley doesn't have incompetent engineers who don't build for longevity. Things like metal manifolds, Aftermarket tappets covers, S&S oil pump, S&S cam plate are more trendy than required on the new 2020 and up Harleys. We drive vehicles every single day with "plastic" and OEM car parts made in China and we aren't running to swap them out.
Dope kit!!! I have almost the same in my low rider S only difference is I went with the star racing 3030. You should definitely check out bamco and switch all your bolts over to ARP shit would look dope on that bike… I need to head to north jersey and check out this shop and get my top end some upgrades…
I paid 1900$ to get a se stage 2 cam installed. That included the cam kit, black tappet covers, and labor installed at my local harley dealer. 2022 Low rider st 117.
I was talking to the guys at moonshine horsepower about doing my stage 2 with a CR 483 on my fxlrst. They were pushing real hard for me to upgrade the throttle body to the screaming eagle 64mm with their ported 66mm manifold & at least 5.5 injectors too. They said these m8's really love a lot of air. Ask Mike what he thinks about going that big with the throttle body on a stage 2. I just wonder if theres any point to it with stock heads?
483 is the perfect cam for your ride Skip the SS pump and plate The 2020+ OEM is better .. ESPECIALLY if not doing the bottom end !!! 55mm intake for sure 5.5 injectors for sure
Yea, I’m on the fence. The speed limit is the speed limit. Torque, I kinda get, it can help you avoid trouble but, spending a ton of $$ on high-end? That 117 would be plenty for me.
22 low rider s stage 2 with 3030 CAM , S&S 55M MANIFOLD, S&S 2 IN 1 , S&S TEAR DROP CLEANER , 130 TQ , VERY PLEASED WITH PERFOMANCE , I JUST NEED TO REPLAICE THE REAR O2 SENSOR , WAITING FOR PART REPLAICEMENT
