Another 7 months later: I've had this M3 xDrive for for 7 months now and I really like it but annoyingly BMW just launched the M3 Touring and I had to get one 😃
@@abayamangali i think it will be late 2022. On the recent pics from BMW M you can see the new iDrive 8 in the M3 Touring with the large screen, i think it will be presented after the 3 series LCI
As a family man and a driver of a X3 30d I live for these videos and pretend for a second that’s it the car I would have! And if I was I’d delighted with the colour choices. The thumbnail convinced me you were going for the deep red exterior but I really like the grey and deep red interior combo. Will look out for you on the streets near Great Chisell soon Joe! 👍
Congratulations mate!! Happy for you. Good choice with a BMW. A few months back, I was confused between a BM and Merc E-Class. So happy I went with M550d xdrive (blacked out). Driving a BMW is really different from an Audi or Merc, tho each are great ✌🏻
I agree with black caliper color selection, it seems every car now has red caliper brakes, even lower end cars. Black does not just draw you to the wheels, but allows you to view the whole car
I went with Dravit grey after seeing one in person at the dealer, loved the color. I spec’d it with fiona red interior and black wheels! Congratulations!!
It's going to be a lovely car Joe - I recently purchased a M340d Touring in Davit Grey with Fiona Red/Black leather with basically every other option ticked. It was ordered by my local dealer, saw it on the BMW new car finder - picked it up two weeks later and it looks absolutely stunning. So looking forward to seeing your M3 :)
You really should've gotten the red calipers to compliment the Fiona Red interior. I have a G82 Competition in BSM with Fiona Red carbon buckets and the red calipers tie everything in so well. Everyone compliments the setup
I knew you would be considering the XDrive after you did the drag race episode. The RWD is already one heck of a performer. The AWD’s performance is just too enticing to pass up if you’re looking for an M3/ M4
I have mine coming in March in tanzanite blue, grey was my first choice but after I saw a M4 in that color in person, you just can’t unsee it, it’s literally the best color for this car.
You're already onto your second M3 and I'm still waiting for mine... 7 months and counting now. Portimao Blue/Kyalami Orange xDrive built in Nov but stuck at Bremerhaven port with Receiver Audio Module stop sale. Hope yours isn't as delayed and BMW AG does a better job communicating this to you or Tony! At any rate, congratulations on submitting your build and look forward to watching your forthcoming content.
Glad you spent time with the colors. I plan on going dravet grey myself. All my cars these days are mostly some darker shade of grey. I would also consider aventurine.
There's a few reasons why the isle of man green was used so much in the press release 1) it's the most strikingly beautiful color on the car, especially with the gloss black competition trim. 2) If you have a keen eye, look up the aston martin vantage v600 Lemans and now look at the hood indentation design and how the light green color looks on it.. strikingly beautiful in a similar way but super rare and completely unobtainable for most people. 3) I took delivery of my isle of man green g80 xdrive yesterday hahaha 😆
Xdrive v RWD was only 0.5 second difference at Bedford when Evo tracked them back to back, and this was on a circuit with a fair few slow tight bends favouring Xdrive. This to me says more about how competent RWD is in the G8X platform. Lots of love for AWD but G80 RWD is so well sorted and has more than enough grip for real world driving where people aren't always digging from a standing start, clocking a quarter mile or wishing they could exit a corner in the wet two tenths of a second faster. Either way, BMW have nailed both variants and your commentary JA has had me hooked over the last 6 x months or so. Good work and hope the channel continues to grow.

Not a huge fan of greys but I like the spec especially with the seats. My personal spec would be sao paulo yellow, full leather black interior, black wheels, black breaks, and manual because I'm in the US.
Great choice on color, Love my Dravit Grey with Silverstone RWD. I live in the US and have a X5 for weather so the M3 stays garaged. I like opening the shades in garage so the light hits the Dravit so you can see its many shades of Grey...lol
Ohhh I didn’t know about the floor mats stitching matching the individual interior. My G80 M3 comes in a week and I got Ivory white with buckets, looking forward to seeing the white stitching! Cheers for the great content as usual Joe!
Love the Toronto red. Most people seem to dismiss it straight away. I haven't seen a red M3 either on RU-vid or even on the road. This then makes it rare, another reason to go for it. I feel too many people choose exterior colour based on their resale views. Please go ahead and choose what you like. Love the content and good luck with your new motor when it arrives

I know this M3 is round about double the price but at least you get afew no cost paint colour options as apposed to the M135i F40 I've ordered! Only colour you could choose as no extra cost was white!
Great choice. The Dravit Gray is my alt option when i ordered My M3 Xdrive in November. They told me about 10 months to receive my car because of demand. I called around to about 5 dealers in my area and got the same answer.
I did a similar thing with my 2020 M135i. Sold it after 10 months of ownership back to a bmw dealer for more than I paid for it and put an order in for another straight away with slightly better spec and the new skyscraper grey paint. I get corporate discount so the deal was really good.
My M4 xDrive is in Dravit Grey w/ Kyalami Orange interior and Red Calipers. Dravit Grey is incredible, especially in different lighting...you'll love it.
Congrats, awesome colour combo! I have a Dravit Grey M340i and absolutely love the colour. Remember, Dravit is also a very ‘soft’ paint and scratches easily, similar to tanzanite.
I am like Tony red is a priority for me when it comes to interior colors and so i was happy when a red interior color was offered🤔 this spec is one of my builted spec but with red calipers. I saw a f80 in a similar color to dravit gray and it looks spectacular so the red interior just make sense.
Hi Joe, we ordered our M3 comp x drive late December for end of March beginning of April but because of what is happening in Europe has been put back to May or June, hopefully yours will arrive on time fingers crossed.

Joe - Awesome spec! Mine is Dravit Gray with the black calipers and bi-color wheels (which really set off the Dravit Gray, BTW). I’ve gotten many hugely positive compliments - 100% saying “beautiful car!” BTW, the only comment I got on the front grill was “love the grill and love it with that spec”. Nice choice on the red interior, too. I might have gone that way if I didn’t have another car with a red interior - I went with the Silverstone, which looks epic housed in the Dravit Gray. Enjoy! Great video, I love the content! Only thing that would've been nice to add was the total price and maybe running some of the numbers. I'm aware that out the door numbers (finance, lease, etc.) will vary depending on individual financial standing, however, it would have been nice to see and maybe brought the video full circle imo. As you can see in my Avatar, I went with a 2022 M4 xDrive Comp, in Dravit, and with this color, you have to go with the CCBs. Dravit has that gold flake in it, matches my CCBs well. Good luck. Hope you have an allocation. 🙌🙌🙌 I do have the 826M in biColor though, and full leather, I skipped the carbon buckets, because they’re tight on my arse, but, I ordered everything else. Can’t wait to see yours. ✌️ I cant believe the cost of your cars in the UK. My car costs $103,000 US, 76,000gbp, that's every option on the G82 except carbon buckets. That just blows my mind. In the US this cars base price is 58,300gbp. What a huge price difference.

Ordered mine with Tony back in December (around the time you mentioned you were ordering an xDrive car) and he’s told me mid-end of March so might be similar to yours! Dravit+FR will look stunning, although very different to mine in IOMG+KO with the ult pack. Might see you on collection day :D
Good choice with the callipers because the red would soon be black with brake dust especially if cleaning your m3 isn’t top of your Sunday morning to do list…
