Dear Dr Omair. I am confused about 1600 hrs clinical experience clause. I did my graduation around a decade ago. Should i attach my internship clinic exp certificate with the application. I suspect that GDC may consider it too old to be considered. Or it doesnt matter? I would be very thankful if you kindly reply. Regards

If one is planing to become an omfs surgeon and has both medical and dental degree does he have to have ore / lds and can he be exempt from them ?

You will still need to pass ore/lds. For omfs you will also need to pass plab or mrcs.

I have completed BDS and I was practicing in India but I moved to uk last year on dependent visa .so I want to work in uk.i don't have any idea how to start .please kindly give some guidance.

The best way would be to apply for a therapist or hygienist registration with GDC and start work. In the meantime you can then pass the ore or lds to get dentist registration.

You need to complete your bds degree first as it is a basic requirement to sit the exam.

Both these exams are only conducted in UK.

Go with one exam either ore or lds. Both exams have 5 year time limit.

Dr Omair, thank you for sharing your knowledge, my nephew is currently doing MDS second year in India and is planning to sit for ORE, since he is currently studying would he be exempted writing IELTS? Regards S. Anakarla
