I believe the NEW and OLD markings are for the age of the brush, not the age of the belt. It allows you to move the brush lower as the bristles wear down.
very true. people who make videos should know their product first, the markings are for old or new brush roll to move the worn bristles closer to the floor. . also ALWAYS change the belt, it's cheap and stretches out 20% longer in a year or so. put the belt on the motor pulley first, then roll it onto the brush roll after the roller is in place (with the NEW marks on top as you face it) , some orecks have a "sliding door" on the side of the head to change the belt only.
1:51, nice trick right there! Who needs another second vacuum to clean off the inside of this one, as one guy in another similar video demonstrated. So, just huff-and-puff a couple times before you put back the bottom cover on. 👍 Lol.
That is because the newer models use torx screws for hardware instead of Phillips head screws. You will need a T-20 torx bit or a T-20 Torx screwdriver in order to remove the torx (also commonly referred to as star) screws.
