Our friend Ray Ray had got pretty sea sick on a salmon run about a year prior to this rip. We somehow talked her into getting a patch and giving tuna a try! It was an epic ocean with whales and jumpers all over the place. Definitely a bit frustrating when they are jumping all around you and it's difficult to get bit. We were eventually able to fill our coolers and head in.
*Note
We are almost positive we saw a Cuvier's Beaked Whale that we had to swerve to avoid as it launched a couple feet out of the water. We were still at a depth of 3000', going 38 knots. It scared the hell out of us.
