We are road tripping the Pacific Coast Highway / Highway 101 up the OREGON COAST in our 2013 Ford Transit Connect micro camper van! The first day we explored some most stop places along Oregon's Coast like Cape Arago, Thor's Well, Devil's Punchbowl and Darlingtonia State Natural Site before stopping to camp on the ocean near Oregon's whale watching capital, Depoe Bay. The second day we visited Cannon Beach/Haystack Rock as well as the town of Astoria where we found several Goonies filming locations! We then crossed into Washington state to continue our journey from California to Washington along the coast.
Thank you for watching, we really appreciate it!

Great vlog !!! Since I am in my 40’s, I grew up watching this classic. Any movie from the 80’s is awesome in my eyes. So glad you got to experience the beautiful scenery

Its something I never really thought about until now, but us on the west coast get to experience sunsets over the ocean, which feels different to me than it just setting over land. Its hard to explain, but it just feels more somber. It might be the sound of the waves crashing that adds to it.

You are right! During our time in the west coast, we experienced some of the best sunsets we have ever seen, the sun setting over the ocean does add a special element that makes it that much more beautiful.

I think you should buy bigger marshmallows 😂! I fed squirrels years ago and I ran out one time and he chased me into the house! Boy is that a story 😂.

Loved this as we love the Oregon coast. We live in WA so funny to hear you’re a Seahawks fan!! Cracked us up everything was about the goonies cuz cannon beach and all has its own validity without the movie as well. So beautiful! Shocked to see you’re four months behind posting. Can’t wait to see the WA vlog!

We love the Oregon coast as well! You are so right about Cannon Beach, even without the connection to Goonies it was absolutely amazing 😊 and YES! We are so far behind but we will be working really hard to start posting more to try and get you caught up. Thank you so much for watching, we really do appreciate it and you!

Hmm...to have so many bug eating plants in one area-you may be fortunate that it's cold! I can only imagine they could be a problem in warmer weather 🤷 🙏✌🌎💞

Seems unseasonable cool, cloudy a lot in OR, I burned through there in Mid Aug, 2022 and it was perfect. btw I'm used to 105-110F so it must a have been warm. How many watts do you have using a an air-fryer? What air-fryer... I camped across the street from Haystack Rock actually rode my bike, but never herd of the Goonies lol. You two definitely stop at different places then I do, that's good as we have been in the same places with different memories. Didn't you see enough Sea Lions in Monterey, CA, they're everywhere. You'll be unbelievably board in WA after CA & OR. PCH is CA. Safe & Wonderful Travels!

Oh really? That is good to know! We just assumed the weather was always like that haha Sounds like you had perfect weather on your trip, that is amazing! I (Heather) am giving you homework, GO WATCH GOONIES! It is a classic terrible 80's movie that you have to watch at least once in your life haha Thank you so much for watching and following along in our travels, we really do appreciate it and you!

Hi!! I’m building out a Ford Transit Connect right now in MN and very inspired by yours. What kind of carpet did you use on the walls, and how thick is the plywood behind it? Did you use batons or just plywood straight to the frame of the van? Thanks!!
@mikeandheather
@mikeandheather Год назад
Thank you for the kind words, congratulations on getting a van! That is awesome! We used indoor/outdoor carpeting that we bought at Lowes and spray glued it onto the walls of our van. We actually did not use plywood or batons, we used Masonite which is a very thin flexible wood panel. We attached the boards to the van by using metal self drilling screws. We have included a link to one of our van build videos where you can see that part of our build a little better here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qFu8bW_nIdI.html Hope that helps! Best of luck in your van build, you will have to keep us updated on how it turns out! We love hearing about other people's builds 😊 The exact carpet from Lowes: www.lowes.com/pd/Select-Elements-Home-Office-Crestline-12-ft-Needlebond-Granite-Interior-Exterior-Carpet/1000411979?cm_mmc=shp-_-c-_-prd-_-flr-_-ggl-_-LIA_FLR_228_Carpet-_-1000411979-_-local-_-0-_-0&ds_rl=1286981&gclid=Cj0KCQiAveebBhD_ARIsAFaAvrGV6YtMcsHIygnkc0oHNwpBaxFxrbYBEWwHJ53fMEjBAFeIGsFYWo0aAqStEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds
