Was on vacation at the Outer Banks of NC last week. The weather was terrible unfortunately but I was still able to get out in the Kayak for a couple trips. Only fished for a half a day this trip because of the winds.

I from over Currituck way. I fished there by the bridge a few times, and yes you are right about getting snagged up. jigging is the way to go, even off the side of the bridge or over there on the sound side. Lots to get snagged on.

Back in 2010 I caught opossum on a gatcha plug off the Bonner bridge. It was the most epic catch ever! Great vidja brother.

Southern Reels Fishing I noticed him going out with the tide. Happen to have a gotcha plug on and snagged him in the tail. Got him in the pier net and released him back on dry land. Got the strangest looks from other folks as I walked by with him. It was crazy!!

No prob man. Heading down to Avon in October. Going to try fishing the sound/Oregon inlet for the first time. We usually just fish from the beach. But I want to try catching some drum, trout and flounder in the sound.

I use Fiddler crabs mainly. The ones we get around the Elizabeth River Marshes are huge though. I don't see then that big elsewhere. Their bodies are the size of a quarter. And have a huge claw

I will have to find them. I usually drive my truck down the beach to the O.I. for surf fishing. Catwalks must be on Pea Island side? I live in the same neighborhood as James w/PA 14 and white FJ.

Great video! Were the rocks sloping down to where you were jigging and the flounder were on the bottom next to those sloping rocks or is it a channel and they just stack up there? I'm down in Texas and they are deep in the channels next to structure. Thanks.

Along the edge of the rocks and just inside of the structure is where I find them...

Yes before and after. Its a small window at that spot before current gets to strong

I’ve noticed you use the Boone dox. I’m getting ready to buy a PA14 and I’m kind of torn between them or the Hobie 2-30 cart with sand wheels. I’m worried about losing the warranty by using the Boone dox. Any advice? Thanks

South end of the bridge there was a parking lot, it may be closed now since the new bridge is open

I wanted too, but the pilings were crowded and I didn't have any fiddler crabs... I'm amazed no one down there sells them...

Yah I use to catch fiddler crabs bout three yrs ago but they put up posted signs no harvesting of fiddler crabs lol I use to sell them at the bridge when I had a bunch left over 20dollars bucket of fiddler's I made like 60dollars one day paid for my fuel going down there
