Oh Joel.. USC being 5 is ridiculous regardless of record. I don’t care about being “right there” it’s about winning games and proving you can play big 10 style of football.
Joel I usually agree with you on this but USC at #5 is just crazy. Nebraska and Illinois right now is better that USC. USC could easily be 2-4 right now. If I had to pick right now I would have Illinois slightly over Nebraska for the #5 spot. I have USC at #8 behind Nebraska and Michigan.

It's kind of crazy to me watching the games: When the offense retains the ball on long drives (not even necessarily scoring points), the defense has pretty much always played at an elite level. If we can retain the ball and score, I think michigan might be the best team in the B1G. But, if we keep turning it over, there is certainly a way where we end up one of or THE WORST team in the B1G. Its crazy
@@Emac000 I agree. But way too much stock is put in victories over minor opponents. You can't judge how good a team is until they've played good teams.
'will howard is going to have to go win ohio state a game' every analyst and commentator has said it all year. he was playing well as season, not great, but the question remaained: can he go win the game in the moment? and will played great for about 58 minutes. but those last two minutes are why will howard was brought in. we could've easily been in the same situation with kyle mccord, and now we have to be just as nervous in a clutch moment as we were last year. will panicked on first down and slipped for a loss and running clock, didn't recognize the running clock on an offensive penalty, and slid late with an open receiver and chance to give himself up and call a timeout - a timeout that the coaching staff had crucially saved through several crucial moments to set up the final field goal. our defense got torched all game. no qb pressure, burke got exposed, the LBs didn't do anything. not good. and oregon played amazing. no TO's, clutch throws and clutch runs, great crowd. and yet we still gave ourselves a chance to win. idk man. at some point you have to break through.

I see OSU is now claiming that Oregon cheated because they put 12 men on the field. Are we going to hear this whining about sign stealing and 12 men on the field and some other excuse every time OSU loses? It's kind of pathetic.
What is the most important position in college Football? QB of course. Every team you list has gotten better due to a portal QB or a proficient QB returning for another year. MICHIGAN HAS NEITHER. NO QB, NO CHANCE TO WIN. I DONT CARE ABOUT HOW GOOD THE D IS OR HOW GOOD EVERY OTHER ASPECT OF THE TEAM MIGHT BE. THEY WILL HAVE A LESS THAN 5% CHANCE OF WINNING ANOTHER GAME THIS SEASON. WHAT AN IDICTMENT ON THIS PROGRAM AND INSTITUTION THAT THEY THINK THEY ARE BETTER THAN THE PORTAL OR NIL.

USC @ #5? Lol. Sure they beat LSU, but it was the first game of the year. They lost to Michigan, barely beat my Wisconsin Badgers, couldn't finish Penn State out. I almost fogorgot....they lost to Minnesota. They have lost to 2 teams ahead of them on the standings. They are a 3-3 team. They have a lot of talent in their team. But they have had that on their team for a number of years now. They jyst underachieve. At this point they are what their record shows. They are a 500 team. They are not the 5th best team in the B10. My 5th team would be Michigan. They may be the 5th best team in B10 at the end of the season due to what they have left on their schedule, but they are not right not right now.
It was a 1 point win at there home feild advantage osu traveling 2400 mile and all the trip plays still 1 point win..neutral feild osu wins 8 out of 10 times

Oregon left 12-14 pints on the field , played ok, not their best as they have multiple starters out due to injuries, got robbed of an interception. Under your type of statement/opinion Oregon should have won by 21 due to their own errors and a bad call.
Oregon is not the best team in the B1G as much as I hate Franklin PSU beats them. And OSU beats them if Lanning doesn’t cheat on the play where they had too many men on the field… I am not an OSU fan just for clarity, Ryan day is a clown. But Oregon is overrated. Oregon has the best record and the best win in the Big 10. There was no cheating, there's no guarantee Ohio State wins without that smart play either. They are the best team. PSU doesnt really scratch Oregon or Ohio State. It's not bias😂. Literally everybody knows and it has been proved
