This is one of the most inspiring and amazing MTB videos I've seen! Looks like a great adventure. Starting to look into riding this trail. Thanks for sharing, you have incredible video shooting skills.
I feel privileged to know of your channel. Nothing even comes close to the quality, effort, and joy!! You truly are riding the greatest trails in the world!!! Amazing
Lately I've been watching your videos every week as I do daily physical therapy exercises to recover after knee surgery. I've got plans to ride the OTT this summer and this video is giving me motivation to stay fit even when I can't walk or ride. Thanks for the inspiration! 🚲 🌋
Wow, thats amazing. Keep up the good work! The OTT is such a cool ride, you should definitely look forward to it. About the setup: We are fully self supported with tents and food with this setup. The camera gear takes up most of the space for me :-)
Hi Jonas, a beautiful and inspiring video, thank you. Did your team ride it the recommended direction - south to north? If yes, do you think that's the best direction overall for combining rideable uphill with fun flowing descending?
Amazing. I've been rewatching your videos all summer, waiting for a new one! After seeing your CO trail and Alps videos, it inspired me to go on my own adventure and bikepack the Tahoe Rim Trail in California a couple weeks ago with my brother! How did you develop your skills as a filmmaker? The first video on your channel is the GR5 which is incredible from the start. And what drone are you guys using? Amazing work!
Wow, thanks :-D It makes me really proud to hear that these videos inspire others to go on adventures :-) I just try to document my adventures the best I can. The drone in the last 3 videos is an Mavic AIr :-)
So inspirational.. it looks like so much fun...And now being almost 50, stuck in a dead end job during Covid... it seems unreachable. What have I been doing all my life? Respect chaps!... Two days later: I watched the video again... getting my bike ready for a short ride
You may have a dead-end job, but the other parts of your life can still be open-ended adventures. Hope you found your way onto, and stayed on, two wheels.
What an outstanding video, so glad I got the chance to meet you guys and participate (albeit a very small role) in your adventure. Your editing skills are amazing.
Superb! I’m impressed with with consistently excellent quality of you r videos. What a life well lived with great friends. Couldn’t understand a word but the talent and camaraderie is universal.
Hi Jonas, this is amazing! Can you tell me what focal length you were shooting at 2:59? I noticed you listed a 10-18mm lens, but this seems a little tighter. Is it cropped? Thanks!
Great video! I'm from Oregon and have been wanting to do the OTT but the last 2 years have seen so many devastating fires that closed huge portions of the trail.
What a shots, almost every shot is spot on! I really love the dolly shots and the drone shots (an inspiration for my own videos) Thank You and keep up telling your amazing stories!
The Colorado trail is very epic and so is the Oregon timber trail. I just think that the Oregon trail is epic even though i haven’t done it. If you come to Colorado, do the Colorado trail.
This is the single coolest MTB adventure channel on RU-vid. If you weren't speaking Norwegian, you would already have millions of views. But I like the tonality of it, so don't change :D It's like the Kraig Adams kind of nature filmmaking with bikes, a perfect counterpart to the usual biker influencers.
This is a great video it deserves more views! anyways I am planning on doing this but not the whole thing (200-300 miles), does anyone know which tier has the best trails and most singletrack?
Absolutely incredible. I watch a lot of mountain bike videos and came across your channel today. By far the best I have ever seen. Mesmerizing and beautiful. I try making some MTB movies myself and can only imagine how much effort you put into filming this. Looks like a ton of drone launches alone. Your friends must be very cooperative in making these films since it is all timed perfectly with their riding. Very, very impressive!!
I am humbled by such comments, thank you very much! I'm lucky to have good friends who can tolerate some waiting, because as you say, it takes some time :-)
Your guys videos have inspired me to take on adventures in my own backyard. I went to graduate school in Oregon and would love to finish this trail soon but have to get the Colorado trail done while I still live there. Out of curiosity what tires did you guys run on your Instincts? Looks like Nobby Nics but curious the size and casing. Cheers!
What an incredible video!!! Shows off the trail so well and the shots you got on that a6300!!! Wow! Please could we get a very quick rundown of your filming and grading process because this is some of the best I've seen from that camera!
This was beautiful. Thank you for coming to my beautiful home state and opening me to an emotion I didn't know I could experience. Truly amazing to see it through your eyes.
What a great find! You do such a great job capturing the scenery and feel of the trail. Thank you so much for your creativity and sharing your experiences!
You guys are fantastic! Thank you so much for the stunning video! It has everything: majestic beauty, humor and some serious koselig! In retrospect it seems you completed the route just in time (before COVID + fires). From your new fan.
How come you guys don't use larger Seat bags? Is it comfortable riding with a 30L on your back, for the trip I just did with my buddies I used my seat bag (16L) to carry most of my stuff and had a 15L backpack with additional 2L of water bladder space. As well as having some things on the frame and handlebars. But I felt like the bag on my back bothered me less than the seat bag swaying around.
Three of us are planning this trip for this summer, in July. We will probably ride a little heavier than you did, good to see the trail has good MTB singletrack every day! I'm busy obsessing over gear!
This was amazing. Thank you for showing such love to a trail that’s right here in our backyard. And much appreciation to you three for making the trip and this video. 🤘
What part of norge are you folks from? I hear folks from there come to Wa and Or to mountain bike a bit. I’m new to mountain biking and love it. I find it so interesting you folks come here to see our landscape, I was trying to move to norge not to long ago but found out it’s just about impossible. But I am still learning the language, self teaching everyday for about 4 months now. Det går bra. fin video, takk for at du deler.
@@JonasMTB I bet brother! Idk if you have been to thrillum, cold creek, murpheys grade? These are just behind my house and I can’t wait to check them out.
So Jonas, you should use english in your beautiful videos, so more people will be willing to watch them. Vakkert laget! So yeah, give English a try. Try just one video and see if it makes any difference? Beautiful video as always 🙂👍🏻
Hi, Jonas! Just coming across this video now... What an unforgettable tour! Question. Would I research XC bikes to do this type of touring? I am an experienced gravel and road bikepacking but not mtb. I am looking to do the type of terrain and riding from your tour. Big thanks and hope all is well! - Jeremy
Hello Jeremy. Depends on whats your main focus. You can do the trail on a light travel full sus bike, but I would not change a thing on my RM Instinct, the descents gets so much better!
One of the best mountain bike video on RU-vid. Masterpiece, epic, cinematic. You only upload a few videos but all of them are excellent quality & this Oregon timber trail is my favorite. Hoping someday will ride this trail also.
Great video! I got to enjoy a small section of the OTT near Oakridge a few weeks ago. The footage is spot on with the incredible scenery. I'm guessing that you were running 29 x 2.25 Nobby Nics. Am I correct?
To add - I wrote this comment before reading others, and I now see that the word “inspire” appears not only in mine but in those of many viewers. It’s not a word I use or even see frequently in this context and to see it here in such quantity says a lot about the quality of your work. Subscribed!
God tur!
Hei Julius. Tusen takk for flott tilbakemelding.
Sykt fett!!
When you take so much time to edit these videos, why dont you just take some time to make the introduction in English so everybody can understand? Doesnt take that much time and noone cares about an accent🤷♂️🤦♂️
