Two of Oregon runners look like guys.

ALL the legs matter. They all made up for the first girl. I don't think that girl trained for 1200m it looked like she runs longer races. The guy commenting just thinks the anchor can make up any lost distance. And he's somewhat right, it looked like she wasn't even tired when she won. Running just enough to win. There were more races the next day. The third girl could have also ran faster, I think she was saving up for the next race too. AND injured.

Robert Stewart You can see her gasping for breath at the end. I’m pretty sure that was hard effort, but I love the smiles immediately afterwards and her form does look really effortless!

Night Fury I’m aware. I competed in DI track. I’m just saying that it’s pretty obvious Jess is dominating everyone so it doesn’t matter if she’s a few steps off the rail. Besides, she used people she was lapping to force the second place runner wide in the final 100 whereas Jess didn’t have to swing wide at all. STRATEGY

@@HouseofJello EXACTLY! She, Jessica, was actually properly positioned so she didn't have to worry about the runners they were lapping. She made the second place runner have to run wider around the oncoming slower runners.

@@HouseofJello I agree! obviously commentator never raced much indoor track-it's not like Hull is in lane 2 for 2 or 3 laps of an outdoor 5000m and wasting distance---being a touch outside won't be much extra distance, and it saved her having to weave around the lapped runner at the last second; Hull obviously has the speed but also very smart-why she won multiple NCAA titles!

Yes there was clear biased but it was justifiably so... Oregon was the favorite coming in and they delivered! What did you expect? For the commentators to emphasize and focus on those who weren't in contention to win?

the DMR? this race is common here in the US, i ran it in highschool a couple times

tactically Jessica Hull is superior and has the faster speed. Tuoey's speciality is the longer distance specifically 3k and 5k. Hull has a 4:01 1500m PB and specializes more in the middle distance, but she also is no slouch at the longer distances either her 5k PB is 15:01 which is 30sec+ faster than Tuohy's . Tuohy's mile/1500 times are no where in that range and she does not have the leg speed that Hull has. Hull would just sit on Tuohy and easily out-kick her over the final 400.

@@CHARMEDOPENINGCRED Thanks. I didn't recall what Tuoey's mile/1500 speed was. I knew as a HS senior she wouldn't be as strong or fast as a top college athelete. I know she's turned 60s 400, but I don't know how that'd translate to 1500 or 1600.

@Jay B. You obviously never ran distince in school because many distince runners are known for the kick at the end of a race despite being really tired.

@@michaeldeierhoi4096 You obviously don't understand my comment then... The reason people "hit the wall" at the end of a race has nothing to do with their will to win. Whenever you see someone "with an incredible kick" lose, it's because lactic acid build up doesnt allow their muscles to function properly. Those people who have "an incredible kick" are known for it because they prepare better, and run a smart race where they havent pushed so hard that lactic acid takes over. Cheers.!

If you don't care for women in competition then don't watch it. And I'll bet these most of these college women competing in this distance medley relay could whip your butt so there is that! Carole M they start in a stagger so there’s enough room for everyone and so faster teams don’t get boxed out too early
