Historic Organ Restoration Committee presents organist Brett Miller in recital on the Midmer-Losh pipe organ-the world’s largest musical instrument ever built with its 33,112 pipes.
Brett Miller, a finalist in the American Theatre Organ Society’s Young Organist Competition in June 2018, has been performing for the past seven years as a Concert Organist and Film Accompanist. He was featured at the 35 mm Film Fest Awards Program honoring the Library of Congress and their work. Along with his brother, he founded “musicalpromise.org” a musical initiative to help fund the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
Brett's program is:
We need a Little Christmas - Jerry Herman
Greensleeves - Arr. Richard Purvis
Christmas Waltz - Jule Styne
Merry Christmas Darling - Frank Pooler, Richard Carpenter
Christmas Time is Here - Vince Guaraldi
A Christmas Festival - Leroy Andersen
The Star-Spangled Banner - John Stafford Smith
Brett has received the White House Student Film Festival honorable mention for a film featuring his community service work. Brett was also the recipient of the Kohl’s Care, Prudential Spirit of Community Awards as well as the Music and Spirit award for his high school and marching band, and the Blackwood Arts Music Scholarship. He is a member of the Philadelphia Youth Orchestra (PYO Music Institute) where he was a runner up in the Philadelphia Young Artist Orchestra Concerto Competition in 2019. He recently graduated with honors as a 2020 graduate where he was a member of his high school band and jazz ensemble and was recognized at the Cavalcade Championships as a superior soloist. He was the drum major for his marching band and plans on attending Eastman School of Music in the fall. He has been featured as a pianist at the Pennsylvania District Orchestra and at the New York All State Band and Orchestra ensemble. He studies under Jelani Eddington. In 2018 he opened for the sold-out appearance of George R.R. Martin, author of the “Game of Thrones” official book release of “Fire & Blood”. On New Year’s Eve, he was featured on the Möller with the Capital Philharmonic at the Trenton War Memorial. He was featured on PBS “State of the Arts” as well as in the Philadelphia Inquirer “We The People” for his organ accompaniment and preservation of silent films. He is thrilled to be returning to the Historic Pipe Organs at Boardwalk Hall here in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

Historic Organ Restoration Committee is presenting these recitals as part of an ongoing broadcast series of the organs of Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall so that patrons can still enjoy the instruments while remaining socially distant.
The recital is made possible in part by funds from the Atlantic County Office of Cultural and Heritage Affairs, a partner of the New Jersey State Council on the Arts.
