Thank you so much for taking our kitchen tour!! After watching it again, I felt like I should add that our last house had a teeny kitchen, so I really pared down our kitchen items to make it all fit that kitchen. Then since we've moved and now have more cabinet space, I haven't added many more items, which is why we have some extra room in our cabinets and drawers! (I should maybe also confess that I'm not an amazing cook, so I don't know how to use some of the fancy gadgets anyway...oops! Let me know if there's an awesome kitchen tool you think I need to try!)

Hey Abby, I started following you very recently and love your videos. I live in the UK and love to cook, oh and by the way your kitchen looks AMAZING. We went from a tiny 1940s kitchen (It was around 5 ft x 7 ft, seriously small!) to a much larger kitchen and it's so nice to have some space to spread out a little! Those bins from Target are the best! We use them in our homeschool organizing too.

Goodness, I love the amount of cabinet space you have! We have a galley style kitchen, so I only have one wall of cabinets, but I do have a nice pantry on the opposite wall, so that's quite helpful. :-) I just did a whole house purge not long ago and got rid of a ton of stuff from our kitchen....I mean, if I haven't used a gadget in a year or so, I seriously doubt I'm ever going to need it. Lol

I have an extremely small kitchen with minimal storage space. I have to use my linen closet to hold some of our kitchen gadgets! Your kitchen is amazing! One day when I have a bigger kitchen, I hope it looks as nice as yours!

What a great channel! Thanks for this kitchen video. I'm in the process of organizing our kitchen and dining room. It's been a huge project! I have an extremely small space and a lot of stuff. So we've been purging quite a few things and then moving stuff around to make better use of the space. I still have to do the drawers and several cabinets, so it's a work in progress. This gave me quite a few ideas on how to deal with what I have left.

I'm TOTALLY inspired and wish it wasnt 10:15pm because I'm dying to clear out my corner lazy susan cupboard! It is driving me crazy and your looks so amazing and organized! So, I think I'm going to draw my cabinets and decide what needs to go where, then head to TJMaxx for containers, and get to work! Also grabbing contact paper for my drawers.... was going to do what when we moved in, FIFTEEN YEARS AGO!! Uggggh!! I will be working on this project this week. Thank you!!!!

Your kitchen is literally my dream kitchen! I love all the white. I'm sharing a townhouse sized kitchen right now with my parents, who have a totally different diet then my hubby and I do, so there's two households' worth of food in there. And my mom is a gadget lover...it's a tight fit! I just recently reorganized and put a lot of the larger baking and food storage items in a china hutch in our dining room and then seasonal items and the actual china in those Target bins in a room is our basement. Thanks for the inspo, can't wait to have my own kitchen again! :)

Very pretty! I've learned so many great tips from watching your channel. Some of your placement choices don't seem logical in my mind. For example, in that corner cabinet for paper products... that space is too valuable for something you only get out when you have a party/ company etc. I'd condense it down into a bin/basket and put it in pantry or a high cabinet. Use that space for something like Tupperware. Another example would be: using the drawers and cabinets by the stove for pots/pans, cooking utensils, spices although you did get hot pads and cookie sheets close by. I love watching organizational videos but sometimes think the main focus is on beauty and bins and may misses what actually happens in that space. Although I do love to cook/bake so that is a high priority for me.Thanks for sharing your talents with us!😊

Love it as always!! The hardest thing for me is the cups/mugs! Somehow we collect new ones so often and they just get to be a huge mess. I just recently got married so we have like 10 different sets of Mr. & Mrs. cups! lol. I know I should purge some of them but just feel bad since they were gifts. I'll do it soon though. I have a long bar/island and underneath is full already - after 5 years. It holds all my flower vases, mugs, extra (fun) glasses, my griddle and crock pot and then some winter/christmas things. I would really love to find other places to put some of those things to utilize the space for more of the cookware that I use all the time.

Everything looks to neat and tidy. Just lovely. May I make a suggestion? I think you should move the children's lunch boxes and plastic dishes away from the oven and put them the cupboard where your pots and pans are. Move your pots and pans to where the lunch boxes were, which is right next to the stove, and the logical place for pans. Also, your junk drawers should not be near the stove either, because of grease and grime. You could put those in the island where you have an empty drawer and put the knives near the stove as well. Thats just what I see when I look at your kitchen.

Oh great question! We had moved it out of the way to fit our video equipment so it didn't make it into the shot. It normally sits at the end of the cabinet that's beside the dishwasher. We have this white one from SimpleHuman that helps it blend in to the rest of the kitchen: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B011CSXMQW/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 . We have tried it a few different places... in the pantry was kind of a pain because it was far from the main prep area. We couldn't fit a decent sized can under the sink because of the disposal. So our current setup is working the best for now!

Looks really nice; however, I have many small appliances (blender, food processor, etc), as well as large roasters, cake holders, and storage containers; in other words, bulky items that are difficult to store. Right now my lazy susan stores the small appliances, and other, larger items are wherever I can find a place for them; usually in the pantry and laundry room. And yep I cook a lot so I do use all these things. Any suggestions?

Abby, i just saw on your blog you used to have Ikea section cabinets in a previous home, but now you have different ones? Can you tell me your thoughts on Ikea cabinets now that you have other new ones to compare them to? Would you get them again? Did they hold up in the long run? I am torn between Ikea cabinets and wholesalers and can't decide. Why did you wind up switching cabinets? Thanks in advance!

I LOVED our SEKTION cabinets! We moved, and we didn't have a choice about brand of cabinets in our new house, which is why we don't have them any longer. We were in our townhouse for about 9 months after we did the kitchen, and the cabinets held up beautifully in that time. The SEKTION upper cabinets are about 3" deeper than most other cabinet brands, which I loved because they felt way roomier, and it was easier to store stuff in them. The SEKTION drawers were also nice and deep. Some of the drawers in my current (non-SEKTION) kitchen are so shallow, making it hard to store anything significant. I have no plans to change out our current kitchen because it is nice and still fairly new, but if I was going to, I wouldn't hesitate to do the IKEA cabinets again!

Hi Abby, I didn't see what you store over your microwave and refrigerator. The cabinet over the microwave is a problem area for me as there is a vent that takes up a lot of the usable space. We store alcohol above the refrigerator, so it isn't accessible to little hands.

We have a vent over our microwave too, so not really any useable space for us either! :( The cupboard over the fridge has cookie cutters, which I really only get out at Christmas time!

Could you not use the lazy Susan for something else Seems like the paper party hoods could be stored in a less accessible space

You definitely could depending on what you needed to store! In our last house I used the lazy Susan to hold our pots and pans and it worked well. I have a lot more cabinet space in this house for the other items, though, so having the paper products there has been a good fit for us. Hope you're having a great week!

My secret is that Donnie is in charge of keeping the kitchen clean, lol! He is in charge of the kitchen and I am in charge of the laundry and everything having to do with the clothes. He does a pretty good job of staying on top of the dishes, wiping down the counters, and using the swivel sweeper to clean the floors!

I wish my mother had your kitchen. I wish *I* had your kitchen!! you have so much space which is lovely, and you don't seem to feel the need to cram every single inch of it with stuff. My mother's kitchen stresses me out so much - you can't find anything in there because she has so much stuff - she has like 4 times the amount of stuff you do crammed into a kitchen less than half the size and she doesn't even use a majority of it. The one that annoys me the most is you have to take pots and pans out of the oven before you can even use it which seems utter madness to me. Maybe I'm just ocd but I just can't handle cupboards crammed with stuff..

Really wonderfully done, my only suggestion is that you might like your pots and pans in the lazy Susan. In one of Martha Stewart's videos, I saw that she had the pots and pans in the lazy Susan. So I tried it for mine and really find it great and it would be closer to your stove.

Thank you so much! And great tip with the pots and pans! We actually had ours in the lazy Susan in our last house, and they worked really well there! This lazy Susan must be not as deep or something because when I tried to put them there, they wouldn't fit. :-/ The slide out shelf has worked as a great option, though!
