Put the tape on your clothes first before putting it on paper or cardboard so it doesn’t peel off the cardboard. At least that’s what I do before placing it on a surface to paint on. It’s not a big deal, but for it to be 100% removable you might need to do that!
Actually that is incorrect. painters tape is designed to only come off within a few hours but if you leave it on for longer than that then it starts been difficult to take off. the best way to get any stickered item of anything is with a heating gun of some kind or hairdryer to heat up the glue and remove it that way
Thank you for the great system to stay organized while moving! Most moving tip videos are from moving companies that JUST explain how to wrap dishes and pack boxes.
I picked you first out of the whole list of videos that popped up when I searched "moving tips". Why? Because of your happy, friendly face in the thumbnail, and I was not disappointed! I've moved a bunch of times, but you still had some good tips for me. Thanks! Can I just put you in my pocket and keep you with me? You are awesome!
Honey, I think I love you! You have no idea how much I needed this video. These are by FAR the best tips I have seen. I will be downloading the kit. THANK YOU. You have saved me so many headaches!
this may be an extremely strange comment, but I LOVE your face! You're so pretty and you just ooze joy. I don't know what it is, but your smile gave me such a positive shift in my mood as soon as I saw it. I love your energy!
These are great/important tips and if moving across an international border - 100% itemized is important, every box needs to be on a moving list with contents (and all furniture items listed too).
For those who could not find the print outs....Look on the back of the Avery 8163 package and follow the instructions. It will tell you to go to the Avery website. Just follow the promptings from there. I did not see her particular lables. I had fun designing my own with my kids help. It was fun!
Can I just have you in my life every single day? 🤔🤔🥰🥰🥰❤❤ everyone thinks this is common sense until they actually have to do it. :,( u are awesome. Thanks for the help
Hey Laura! I will be moving in about 6 months from one part of the state to the other, then a year after that overseas! I am FREAKING OUT! I plan on taking my bedroom set because it's brand new and was a gift and some books and household items, did I mention I am freaking out?! I am so glad I found your channel!
Great tips! But you make it seem like the moving printable pack is available for free, and it does not appear to be available on your website. I think it's unfair to claim everyone can access the printables without clarifying that one would need to sign up for the expensive sweet life planner club to get access.
I wish I would have seen this before I moved a few years ago. I lost a box with my collection of dvds and even worse two photo albums which I can never replace. I’m sick about it. These are excellent tips. Next time I move I will use these tips
Yes!!! Girl thank you. Ive moved 6 times and still dont have it right!!!! Big ups.🙌🙌🙌🙌 I know its an old video but it's new to me and it is relevant to what I'm experiencing now which is....my 7th move. 😒 So thanks. 😁
Thankyou!! I found this really helpful! Wasn’t actual moving tips but I think the binder idea is great. Can’t print off the labels myself but am definitely gonna take some tips from this. The “open me first” labels are a genius idea as well. x
Label the box with a number and then just make a word doc with the number of the box and contents...so much easier to just type a master list and make copies for everyone in the family... Try to load the boxes numerically so their easy to find when they come off the truck.
You can write on the side of the box in marker. Painters tape for furniture. Your boxes must be completely full and a human has to lift them. Stack plates, framed photos, etc. vertically. Use standard sized moving boxes, your driver will thank you.
I’m moving into my 2nd place now out of state thanks for the tips you’re so thoughtful it’s adorable + admirable. And we have the same name! Thx for the great advice.
We have a list of items in the top of each box. Color code by room and numbered by importance. We also do open me first duffel bags/luggage pieces (except for the kitchen and that is a box for the first two days/nights)
I'm going to move soon. Not sure when but we are looking at houses. Have been in the same small house for almost 10 years. These tips are super helpful and I will see if my parents can do this. I hope that I can help them in any way possible (maybe I'll even get my own room!!! No longer having to share one with my sister) I have only moved once when I was four and I went to my grandma's house while my parents packed. This time, I hope to be more involved with packing and preparing and I am excited to move to a new house!
I'm a very disorganized person and pecrastinator. Lol !! This should be my New Years resolution to get it togather and get organized. Nope I'm not perfect !
it's all about your moving binder and your business. because the link you gave doesn't allow to print anything for free, you have to buy a plan or some shite. people. just buy colorful stickers, make a note on your iphone what color sticker is for what(green-kitchen, blue-bath,etc) and that's all! you can put fragile items in between your sheets, wrap them with your towels and so on. there's way more creative and free ways to just pack all the stuff
Just say up front that it costs $20 dollars a month to subscribe on your planner website and then you can download the printable. Otherwise, telling us to click the download button to download our own copy implies it's free..and that is a lie.
Loved it! I had the idea of making a kind of an inventory with color code and stuff... but my overloaded mind started getting messy and didn’t know if doing it by room of by kind or what?! Lol 😜 Thank you!
Hello, thanks for the video. Do you have a tip for this, please. I have quite a few number o f boxes to pack with documents inside. What is the best way to pack them into the cardboard box? Do I put the paper into plastic bags first, and then into the cardboard box? - I am worried that the paper might get wet throughout the journey wit the removal company. Many thanks.
Instead of the binder labels, just use a roll of painters tape/ a sharpie to label items. Painters tape is built to not permanently stick to surfaces, so it is easy removal.
I have 5 small kids, this seems like a big time sink to me. I would rather just do a deep declutter and move with way less and label the top with a sharpie 😬
Maybe I am doing something wrong on your website and maybe I didn't hear correctly so if I have I will apologise in advance but I am sure you said you had FREE moving printables. You have to subscribe and pay to your website to get them that's not FREE.
