I love how real you are!!! That was very kind & humble of you to show us your messy room! It was also an excellent way to make your point! I love you & your videos !
You are truly amazing! Just learned - in this video - that on top of being a great mom to 2 very young boys, a popular youtuber, a wife. a professional organizer, you also have a very demanding job! I am speechless! DO you ever sleep?!
1st: love that a time saving video is only 3 minutes and 56 seconds long! Thanks for that! Clearly you know what you are talking about. You'd be amazed at how many "time saver" videos are like 47 minutes - no way. I don't have that kind of time... nice work.
Thanks Kathryn -your tips and advice have really changed the work habits of young women in Austria. It has helped our Work Studies planning. We now know to clean the loo before dinner prepping.
I like the part on categorizing the things to do into three main lists and not blending them together. This helps immensely with prioritizing. Separate lists!!! That is fabulous. I used to have one list I put everything on. Now I got five. You are inspiring!
Half way into the video, this was like a revelation with great advice, tricks and techniques for keeping organized. Clear, practical, insightful, relatable, and above all, captivating!!! Excuse me while I share and forward!!!
You're awesome Kathryn! I discovered your channel about a week ago and have been binge watching your videos ever since. I appreciate your positivity and your enthusiasm, plus your ideas are so inspiring! Thank you 😘
Great point about scheduling yourself by time - not task! Working from a calendar and blocks of time instead of a to-do list is a great way to make tasks more manageable
oh thank you!!! You saved me. I was feeling so insane and then you came to my rescue. I definitely need to apply the time frame to each task! Makes sense. I tend to do whatever I want during certain task and dont stay focused. Putting a time frame will hopefully allow me to become more disciplined. Thank u so much.
Thank you for this, you have inspired me a lot with my house projects. I have to remind myself everything does not have to be perfect, and less stuff is less stress. Where time goes I have no idea.
This was so helpful hearing it from someone who applies it to there day to day life. I tell my self these tips all the time but haven't been able to apply them. I had to watch it twice.... Thanks again!
Love this! Its super timely too because I am just now getting organized and on a "high" of accomplishment so I need the motivation to keep going! Thank you for sacrificing cleanliness for us!
These tips are amazing!! I especially love how you suggest scheduling yourself by time and not by task. I will definitely write these tips down and get "training myself to be productive". Thank you so much!! xoxo
Thanks for the video, I started a new job and I'm so overwelmed with my old duties... I will try to implement all your tips, they sound really helpfull. I bet you are a great teacher!
Thanks for this! Most helpful tip for me was allocating a set amount of time to do something and then move on. I think that will make me more productive. thanks x
I gotta say it ... I looooooove you right now!!! I really needed help understanding how to manage my time and to do list. Thank you so much for sharing this information with us. Thanks again. It's so easy to understand. Terri
Excellent video!! Simple, and easy to start implementing! I love the fact that you separated your tasks by your "many hats". I never thought to do that. Thnk you!
Excellent tips! I really like the timer method so you don't get so involved in the task that you lose track of time and not accomplish other priorities on the list or end up being late for an appointment. Also, breaking a task down into a segment of time seems less intimidating and very doable, especially when certain tasks are huge and overwhelming. (like my garage - hahaha) Love these helpful hints videos! Thanks for sharing your insights!
Once I became a mom, I couldn't have handled teaching again also. You are terrific. Thanks for putting us on your to do list. Great ideas for all stages of life because we all want to be productive.
Time not task! That makes so much sense to me and I'll definitely be using that to help me get through the day. Thanks for sacrificing the mess to film! 👍🏼
I LOVE the idea of categorizing the "to do" list and limiting it to seven items per day. What a great idea! Thank you!!! I've also just started using the 30/30 APP! Have you heard of it? It's free! It keeps you from getting bogged down on one task. You set timers for each task to keep you moving. So I might set a timer for 30 minutes to straighten my bedroom, 1 hour for doing grad school work, 30 minutes for meal prep, etc. The timers then go off and I know to move to the next task. It helps me plan my use of time more efficiently, too.
Awesome tips - I always have a ton of things written each day and moved them over to next day if they don't get done. Seven things to do seems so much more manageable. Will have to put that into practice - thanks for another great video Kathryn!
I need a hug! I feel like I always over schedule myself and fail miserably because it's impossible to do it all. I am in the "I give up" phase. I will try these tips when I get my act together again!
Thank you for showing that quick clip of your messy livingroom.... Lol I have a hard time getting other things done when my house is a mess. I always feel like I need to clean the mess FIRST and because it's my least favourite thing to do, I avoid it..... which in turn makes me avoid everything else that has to get done after it! :( Love your videos!
LOVE LOVE LOVE busy mom of three active girls. This is great tips & suggestions.. I watch you every week from Naples Italy~ Thank you for all the great tips
I have been Lost in a maze because of a family situation.. Gaaaaah.. The 7 things a day will really help me.. Trying so hard to KONDO my home. and have become overwhelmed with the derailing due to a family trauma.. Too much going on at one time..Very helpful tip.. Just needing to get that Zoom zoom going.. I can do This!
O my God!you are so inspiring, motivating, energetic and most important down to earth person.....I am gr8 fan of u and Alejandra Costello.....God bless u ...
DoItOnaDime Finding you has definatley blessed me. I start today. I downloaded an organzing app and I have 3 things on it that I really want to do today. Wish we had dollar tree in Sydney Australia :(
Great tips! My husband was listening in as I watched this. "Amen! Preach it!" He said when you said "keep the list to 7 things." I'm a crazy list maker! :)
Tan práctica e instructiva como acostumbras. Me encanta verte y escucharte!! Mil gracias. Aprendiendo cada día a gestionar tiempo y tareas.....algo difícil, aunque no imposible jeje.
Subscribed! you are so sweet and love how real you are! It is definitely overwhelming to try and get everything done, as you mentioned it is okay not to be perfect. Thank you :)
I'm a new watcher. And all I can say is tht u deserve more subs. You get right to the point, and ur actually helpfully. Unlike beauty gurus-yes I'm a middle schooler- they try to glitz up their videos with useless shots of themselves. Same problem with Alejandra, her videos really drag along with like 10min each video. I find myself bindge watching u, and all have helped me in a way. Keep doin what ur doin, ur work will be rewarded
I enjoy your videos so much! You are such a good teacher. Your students are lucky to have you as an instructor. I hope you teach them some of your organizational and time management tips. I didn't learn time management until college and I wish I had learned it sooner.
I love this statement for #10 - "Keep It Sunny Simple" A friend of my came up with it because she didn't want to use the word stupid or silly. I like it because it makes me smile every time I say - and makes me think of rainbows. Don't know why, it just does.
I love to organize, however there never seems to be enough time. I usually end up lost in the details and feeling like a failure with a half finished task. I'm excited to try the "by time, not task" alternative! Thanks and God Bless!
Hello! Just the video I needed today, thank you so much for helping us out. Im watching the video and reviewing my list, thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!!
Great advice! I'm really loving your videos! I'm going to try to limit to-dos to 7 items, but that can be hard when you're a mom, as I'm sure you know!
I love applying "7" or "3" to all plans : ) Hardest first and use a timer - these are great tips K. Listen to her folks ! We need order in our planning : ) There is always hope for a better to do list people. Keep trying to make it more simple and you will see improvements. The best tip I can offer is pray to God and ask Him to help you with a vision and priorities. He will help us.
Hi Katherine, I love watching your videos; you have a lot to offer and these 10 tips are great and I want to follow them. Thanks for taking the time to share with us what you know. I visited Hayleyswifestyle channel and I subscribed to her also. She is also awesome! Thank you!
your advice is always so doable and practical. I am always so happy to see a video from you pop up. Also Carson is getting even cuter if that is at all possible.
Omg thanks for these tips n for being transparent w ur messy room. Lol. This is a major eye opener for me. Striving for perfection in every area has left me stressed. Now I have to learn to perfect 1 thing a day;)
Love your videos, they are inspirational, fun and so informative. I've recently subscribed and have started adopting your tips for home organization. Keep up the great work and keep the videos coming :)
I really liked this video. I need many more tips for working smarter, not harder. I am having a hard time juggling being a new teacher and a wife/housekeeper.
