I super enjoy your organizing & tour videos. For me, collecting and “putting up”/organizing my finds are even more fun than crafting itself! I never tire of antique & vendors’ malls! Thank you for sharing your treasures!!
Oh thank you so much for your kind comment! I agree, I love to organize. I feel like it brings about inspiration to be creative too, so I organize, create, organize, create :).
I just found you today. You’re the first person I’ve watched that has a style more like mine. I have tons of things plus sewing materials, machines, etc. I have a huge area now and have things in stations. My issue is all the vintage items so this has really helped. Wonder if you could help me with a different organization issue. Could I email?
Thanks for watching! So glad this video helped with the vintage stuff. Sometimes it can be tricky with all the different sizes and categories of things. My email may be on here, but if not, bluescallopcreations@yahoo.com.
I am new to this channel, I’m super excited! I’m 67 and actually recognize so many things as I used to Sew and teach sewing! I’m newer to this level of success as I see in your journal process! My mother in law also had an antique store for years! I been out of the loop and this makes me feel soo connected!
Yes, I actually have a set of tall Alex drawers that have all of my Etsy shop things. I have a video on it here if you want to see--ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gOXwi1LFOVU.html
I love all of your ephemera stash and that you have it so organized. I love and collect all the things as well but this type of thing can get out of hand quickly if you dont have the right storage for it!
If you haven't bought them already, they sometimes go on sale at Sam's Club. The ones with wheels cost a little more. I have even bought some at yard sales. 😊
I have this exact label maker. Just this past Saturday (it's April 2023 now) it thunderstormed and rained hard a good part of the day. A perfect day to stay home and organize my Craft room. I looked in my room and wrote down the labels I wanted to make. I brought my PTouch into the living room, stretched out on the couch and went to town making the labels from my list. I did paper, stickers and my granddaughter's art supplies. I made and affixed 35 labels. It took me about 90 minutes total. It was definitely therapudic and made me feel like I made good use of my time. Amazon has great pricing on refills for the label maker which is good to know.
That sounds like the perfect day! I love rainy day organizing. My label maker was one of the best purchases. It really helps you move quickly around your craft space. Thanks so much for watching!
I LOVE your craft space! Mine is similar I enjoy the touches of aqua and mint green, such happy colors. I am not a fan of endless IKEA white. Storage for those of us that are visual can get messy and overwhelming very quickly. Vintage organization is difficult because of the number of types. Sizes and materials. You definitely nailed it!
Thanks so much! Yes, it's been a long time coming with organizing the vintage stuff. Glad to hear it's not just me LOL! That stuff is hard to categorize and fit into compartments :).
I really enjoyed watching this video! It was like a trip down memory lane for me as a child of the late 70s early 80s! I saw so many things I can remember in our home growing up. Bittersweet and happy feelings over here! I'm going to have to watch your other craft room videos now! 😍😍😍 thank you so much.
I love how you organize your craft room. Beautiful colors and arrangement. I do have a question how did you keep the curtain up on your shelving for your cookware?
Good question-I had a hard time figuring something out for that. I ended up threading some ribbon through the tops of the curtains and then tying the ends up on each corner. I can then slide the curtain back and forth to open it. I think I will show that in my next In the Craft Room video. I know a lot of people have those types of utility shelves....
The yellow sewing book on your shelf is really amazing for people who like to sew and you can sell it for a decent price. That is one that would be a shame to be torn up for journals just because it is still such a useful book for sewers.
