I'd start a sku system as soon as you start selling on ebay. I didn't and I had over 500 clothing items and no idea where they were at. It can get out of hand before you know it. Thanks for the video.
Agreed! There might be hesitation to do it or not knowing it’s an option but we were in the same boat as you and it was very challenging to do it after we had hundreds of items listed already. Way more time consuming to do it after the fact.
Thank you for sharing the video. It affirms that I am on the right track. Being that I'm the only one running the show right now, I quickly realized how important it was to stay organized. For a short while, everything started taking over my art space in my room and it became extremely overwhelming for me so it forced me to look into renting a storage unit. For now, I want to say thank you once again because that's what we Canadians do! As well, I really enjoy following you and enjoy all of the content the two of you post on RU-vid. Stumbled across your video while searching for the answer to a question I have. Maybe you can help? I use the sku system but my question is, do you know of a way to search your own inventory via the sku without having to look at all of your listings one by one? Tia
Just got back from vacation so catching up on messages:) I looked into it and I can’t figure it out. Maybe if you hit sell similar, it sometimes doesn’t appear as an option? I thought it might be an issue with either having or not having an eBay store where you pay for additional features but I don’t think that’s it. Does the Custom SKU not appear on anything you have listed? I suggest maybe calling eBay support. I’ve found they are helpful and you can chat with them which makes it even faster. Do you know if the custom ski is private or do people scrolling see it as well? I’ve been putting my cost of goods in there as well as location but I try to be less obvious in case it’s seen by people looking at the item. Thank you!!!!
That’s a great question. I did some research on this because I wondered the same thing a while back. I went on some stores where I knew they use sku’s and they were not visible. However, I swear when I hit sell similar on someone else’s listing, their information carried over once. It might have been a glitch. That’s a good idea to keep that info in there as long as it’s private.
That's not the way to use SKIU numbers >.< You're using a product identifier as a bin number. Might be working for you now but it's not scalable. SKU numbers are unique to each product.
