I really like my orange its still on the stock bracelet Its solid the clasp closes perfectly every time. Unlike many of my aftermarket strapcode fully milled bracelets. The only downside is the hollow endlinks obviously, but no rattle its staying until it falls off
I have this watch and haven't found really any other place where the black case/orange dial combo exists. Almost impossible to find. Even if you search for this FAA02006M, you still find the non-PVD steel coloured version. Do you know if this is some special edition, is there some further digits to the model number that point to the black case?
I don’t think orient released this on a black pvd orange dial. Black pvd black dial do exist but I don’t think its a limited edition. If in any case you see an orange dial in a black pvd case vesion, my best guess is its been swapped already. Actually I was planning to buy the pvd version and put the orange dial into it. Anyway thanks for stopping by ✌🏻. Stay safe 😊
For starters, the Ray is 200m WR rated watch with screw down crown, 5KX's like the SRPD59 are 100m WR rated non-crew crown crown. If WR not a big deal, 5KX's are just fine. As for the size, I like the Ray better than my SKX007 and SRPD55. Speaking of the SRPD55, it didn't take long for the inner side of the crystal to fog up, but a simple movement removal and crystal cleaning did the trick. Never had to do that with my 200m watches. Perhaps I'm just using the SRPD55 beyond its limitations, but still, its just a bummer. Cheers.
I'm usually a fan of Citizen dive watches, specially the Orca and the NY0040 aka Marina Militare, but I've found that this watch with the orange bezel has the best visibility underwater, with low visibility conditions, like murky waters or low sun light. I have two Orient's, a blue Mako ii and a black Raven ii, I love the look of them and how good and affordable they are, but I never dived with them (mainly cause the bezel is hard to turn), when I borrowed my friend's orange dial Ray I was surprised and really impressed how good the visibility is, It's even better than my most prized diving watch, a seiko prospex tuna 600m. And I want to buy one for myself now
