My adventures have taken me into the Rainforests of India. Join me as I hike through the Western Ghats in search of one of the smallest, most colourful Kingfishers in the world. It's a cold-blooded killer and it can make over 20 kills a day. What it lacks in camouflage, it makes up for in speed and its victims will never see it coming.
These Western Ghats are also known as the Sahyadri Hills, 'Sahyadri' meaning Benevolent Mountains. One of the top biodiversity hotspots in the world, they are home to several thousands of species - over 5,000 flowering plants, 137 mammals, 508 birds, 157 reptiles, 126 amphibians, and 218 fish.
