Sara, OMG...thank you so much! Remember I texted you about this and how much I would love to do a large piece to frame for the wall? You sent me info on pages 6 and 7 about low and high density tile folding, but I still looked like a deer caught in the headlights. So grateful for this tutorial, and especially recognizing your hands to be fold it. Wow...you really give of your time to all of us with these lengthy tutorials and I just want to say how much you are appreciated. You have definitely helped me to remain....one happy folder, Brent Thacker
What type of paper did you use? Love the crispness. I also think you said it was 40 cm. Might have to cut and hand paint my own, but was wondering is thick or thin better.
Following your instructions for high density hydrangea tiles and this video I made a 4-part hydrangea pattern using a 7 x 7 grid. It took three attempts and finally a 12" tant square before I completed one. I'm so proud of myself. Mil gracías as we say here in Mexico. Por favor, more complex tessellations videos.
Made it.❤ its quite cascading, so after a while I just switched to a movie, and completed it whilst watching. Just needed to see what differed from the single crown one.❤ Much love looks great as a picture on my wall, coated it and attached strings to the back.😄
Gracias, Sara, por cumplir tu palabra de presentar el video a su velocidad normal.Este tutorial me ha clarificado mucho las cosas. ¡Gracias. Eres un encanto!
I can’t believe I made it!!…the collapsing was really challenging...Anyway I have to make a second one to correct mistakes. Thanks a lot...I’ve really enjoyed it!
I have folded this and other Fujimoto models but I cant seem to figure out how on this particular video you use a different technique to "pull out" the petal (instead of pushing it out from the back), a zoom in on this style of folding hydrangeas would be great.
+kickuprumpus Check out my video on the basic hydrangea for details: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zu5F0Hmd3ZA.html I show the pulling out method around 8:46
Sara, forgive me for a not-so-bright question but on which surface do you fold your models? Is it plain wood, PVC, something else? The world needs to know! ;)
I record my videos on my desk, which I covered with a sheet of Elephant Hide paper to have a nice, yet still neutral backdrop. Also www.happyfolding.com/paper-review_elephant_hide for more information on Elephant Hide paper.
Hum, think and crisp paper is what I recommend for this model. It's also easier to fold this model, if it can hold a 3D shape. Lokta might work well, although you might want to crispen it up by applying MC before.
It's a 20 by 20 square grid. Also see ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-b5nd9RGFKjM.html for a tutorial and www.happyfolding.com/files/Hydrangea_Tiles_CPs.pdf (page 7) for a CP for the high density tiling of 9 hydrangeas.
One question mark is a question...three makes it more than a simple question. Just my opinion just like it was his to add three question marks. My remark wasn't meant to be mean or negative...all I meant was watch it if you enjoy it, otherwise stop watching but don't complain
