www.origami-instructions.com/ Video tutorial for making an origami lily. Step by step instructions, from a square piece of paper to a completed origami lily.
I wanted to make my crush something special for her birthday, and since her name is Lily, this was absolutely perfect! The steps were relatively easy to follow and she absolutely loved it! Thank you so much!
I think that if your getting really frustrated, that maybe this is too advanced for you, and you may want to try something more simple until you become familiar with different folding techniques. Also, I use scrapbook paper, and sometimes colored post it note paper. remember, Rome wasn't built in a day, so stop picking on the person making the tutorial, they only did it to show their skill, and to teach those of us who actually want to learn......
Wow, this is so helpful! When I clicked on the video it looked like it was gonna be incredibly impossibly hard but it's actually really easy, and I'm 10 yrs old ;D The only step I found a bit hard was at 05:27, but I did it and i love my lily! I made 2 and I'm painting one now, thanks so much!!
@origamiinstructor Yes definitely worth it, the first one I made actually took 2.5 hours, but then my second and third only took 20-25 minutes or so. It's a more complex design than some of the other flowers I've seen, but it makes it a lot nicer looking. Thanks a lot for the detailed video and directions on the website, I don't think I would've been able to do it with diagrams only.
Origami Instructions I found it more than a little slow but I am a fast folder and find most vid's too slow. But I love that you solved one of the biggest problems that I have found on origami vids, people always say its too fast. I am glad because this vid took me on a trip down memory lane back to when I could fold these. I have now been able to re-learn it.
Tiler, yes, larger paper will work as long as it's square. There's a stem on our website for the tulip, which may work for this. Otherwise a piece of paper rolled into a tube.
@arthurgodoy07 , any square paper can be used for origami paper. However, the best paper would be actual origami paper, which is thin enough to be folded and creased very well. 6 inch by 6 inch squares are the most popular size.
thank you !! for developing my interest in it !!! i love this method its sooo easy !!! thanx a lot !!! this way is too easy !! i have created sooo many !!! but ya practice is needed !!! to get it precise !!
Thanks for the video.....I got it the second time around ..... If you don't fold it nice and neat then its not going to work ...Awesome Video!!! thnxks
@origamiinstructor This video is great, but needs a little bit more explanation... I understood half of the video until you had to make a unusual fold.. But anyways, I love this, Its a great video, and i would really recommend this to anyone who wants to learn.
Origami Instructions Hey I just watched this yesterday and I can already do it quickly by heart! Super proud of myself haha, and yeah I’ll make sure to watch more videos of yours.
Could this be done with a larger piece of paper and go just as smoothly? I want to make one of these cause my partner loves stargazer Lilly's but its kinds small, also is there a origami stem that could be added to it?
Finally, I did it thanks! It's nice but I really had a hard time cause I find the tutorial too fast and some parts are not covered so well at your video.
