These are cute but the initial blue one and the violet ones are very different in that the blue only has a contrast color in the center and the purple has white in the middle and lavender behind purple. How is this possible with white and purple paper?

I understand you. I used Harmony paper for folding those ones. Harmony paper is a special paper you can find in Amazon and it has wonderful patterns that give a great effect to your folds.
